9.1 Brings almost nothing for the solo players

Yet again they failed. Could have made mage tower 2.0 but nooooooo

I definitely don’t disagree with you. I haven’t done Torghast in a few weeks; I’m just somewhat relieved knowing it’s there for me should I need it. And I can do it by myself.

A “Massively Multiplayer Online” game adding content intended for multiple players?
surprised pikachu face

Yeah. The real world is multiplayer too, do you spend every waking moment with people?

Such a stupid argument to defend the failings of the development team.

Almost as stupid as judging the entire Blizzcon by the opening night?

as someone else stated, being mmo doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be grouped together. It only means, you’ll see other people in the world.

There’s more coming than what they talked about in the panel yesterday. Read some interviews.

Oh, are they doing something new now where they hold all of the “good stuff” back from the main panels that are designed to hype up the game? Maybe the Q&A or the voice actor panel will be where they decide to reveal their actual patch content.

My bad for making such assumptions.

Where would I find this? Why aren’t they promoting it? Would you be so kind as to share a link?

Apology accepted.

Did you have other options of “real worlds” to choose from where you could be alone?

Have you ever also purchased a Forza game and then been angry at the lack of content for people who prefer soccer to racing?
There may be a solution other than adding soccer mode to Forza.

If you’re right and there’s this interesting stuff they didn’t feel the need to share in their “deep dive” panel, I’ll proudly admit I was wrong. I’d love to be absolutely wrong here. I’ll even go buy that giant package of stuff I don’t want and renew my subs too.

I absolutely doubt they were waiting for the Q&A to reveal such things though.

If you don’t want to interact and play with those people, what is the difference between playing an MMO and playing an offline RPG where npcs are placed around the game world, other than the offline game being built around the solo content you actually want to do?

Anyways. Having an entire new place to explore and quest.

How is this “almost nothing for the solo players”?

baldur’s gate 3 is coming out eventually for the solo players

I’m playing FFXIV by myself most of the time. I’ve been playing this MMO, the one we’re discussing here, by myself 70-80% of the time for the last 15+ years.

Before the internet, I played “multiplayer” games by myself too. Halo was multiplayer, did not require a group. Nothing multiplayer ever meant “group enforced.”

Also I’d never buy a Forza game or a sports game. I haven’t played one since NFL Blitz. I buy games that pique my interest. WoW usually does okay in that regard. This expansion went in a weird, lousy direction with what I’ve been investing in.

I raid and I play by myself outside of a raid. That’s been WoW for me for the life of the game. They changed, not my expectations.

because I can choose to play with others if/when I want to. The option is there.

also, I enjoy seeing others enjoy this game. I sit in the middle of the cathedral square and watch the roleplayers and listen to the stories. I share in weddings/funerals.

I go down old raids and dungeons with a group of folks when I want to and can take my time and enjoy the story.

I sit by a lake and fish, and watch as people duel each other off in the distance.

There are many ways to enjoy an mmo without being tied by being in groups.

Solo players aren’t the target demographic for WoW. Single player games are for that.
