9.1 Brings almost nothing for the solo players

It is cue, not queue… unless you want the people to line up. If you are going to be condescending then at least know how it do it.

The whole expansion is hostile to solo players.

I think Blizzard is going through some things. Anyway, you can always wander back in a few months or so, see if there’s anything to your liking.

If not, then perhaps the next expac. I think this one is a kind of test that may not be panning out very well.
Idk really, I’m not even playing it so I could be wrong. Be well and have fun wherever you go.

Don’t assume.

Look at my profile and my history. I don’t do solo content exclusively. But I don’t PUG. I refuse to. I like playing this game with friends, however, and I have for over 15 years.

Raiding is my group content. I like that. Dungeons are occasional content if we all can get a group together without pugging. Outside of this, I play by myself or do something with a crew that does not require a set role composition.

If I play this game 2-3 hours a day (sometimes I’d play more), that’s 15ish hours a week. 5 of it is raiding, maybe 1 for other group content that I want to do. That leaves a whole lot of time where I have nothing interesting to do.

I’m not going to stay subbed just to play and raid 5 hours a week. I’m not going to do more group content I don’t enjoy, because even if I wanted to subject myself to that, outside of raid it’s hard to schedule everyone I like playing with that also play the required roles in order to do them.

If they actually managed their players and cracked down on trolling, system abuse, and people just being angry jerks over everything petty, I’d consider pugging more. I have absolutely no problem pugging in FFXIV because I know that people will think twice about being toxic.

I’m here to have fun and play a game, not to deal with a**holes who revel in schadenfreude. But even then, I don’t always want to play with other people.

I want to work on professions and have them feel meaningful.
I want to work on Torghast and have that feel meaningful. It’s literally the solo dungeon we’ve all been asking for.
I want something new and lasting to work on. Something that isn’t just a temporary piece of gear.

This game is just a handful of systems on a hamster wheel lately. It’s like they have some AI designing the game, and not people who actually enjoy playing it.

it also brings almost nothing for the people who prefer other kinds of games. why are there no matching minigames? why can’t they make an Org zeppelin ATC simulator minigame?

Uh: new wings. I feel like you missed that announcement somehow.

What do you get from doing the new wings? If I do Torghast for 2-3 hours, will I walk away with something other than the feeling of having done Torghast for 2-3 hours?

If they planned on adding a reward structure to this thing, don’t you think it’d be mentioned?

I’m not disagreeing you here (personally, I think there ought to be Torghast exclusive gear), but at the same time, new wings of Torghast is something new for solo players.

Seriously, I don’t do any group content anymore.

just because Torghast isn’t interesting to you, doesn’t mean other people don’t like it. New wings in Torghast is still new content for those of us who only solo (like literally don’t go into dungeons anymore, much less raid).

This thread isn’t about what’s interesting to other players. This thread is about what’s interesting to me and folks like me.

Yeah, there’s a wide variety of people playing this game. I’m sure plenty of people really like Torghast as it stands. But if I wanted to play a mobile game, I’d play a mobile game. I don’t want to play one in my MMORPG. I want RPG sh**.

Why Blizz bother doing any real content for WoW ? I see all these people who think 9.1 is good content or its hype.

9.1 is going to come out in 4 months and gonna last 6-8 months with abysmally minimal content and it seems a lot of players are content with that. Really disappointed in the community to be honest.

okay, I used to be just like you. We didn’t have Torghast before, so what exactly did you do BEFORE there was some sort of actual solo content?

Perhaps people are upset that they have removed or nerfed casual and solo content that used to be available to casuals and solo players into pointlessness. I guess they did it to pander to those who think that the heart and soul of an MMO is forcing people who are playing the game wrong to do things you know they’ll hate, because control freaks love that.

You’re disappointed that other people like stuff that you don’t? Interesting.

Ahhh, the condescending metro is back, you was doing so good

I leveled alts and hunted collectables from older raids, really. But that’s been my content for a long time now.

I’m at the point where I have around 20 alts I haven’t deleted yet, between 45 and 50. I have more I’ve deleted, because I only leveled them for allied race armors.

I’m running out of xmog, pets and mounts I want to hunt.

They’ve been so bad at delivering solo content for so long that I ran out of old stuff to get in this massive collection of older things. lol

I’m tired of leveling alts. I just want something new to do. How has it taken them this long to come up with something new? The last interesting/lasting system we got was pet battles in 2012. I’m even running out of those to go hunt.

The most importing things to me are flying and mounting in The Maw.

Part of why I’ve been bringing up housing a lot myself. That would bring me hours of entertainment if they did it right.

Some people complain just to hear themselves complaining. They are amused by the sounds of their gums banging together, or in this case, the clicking sounds of their keyboard.

I completely agree about housing. I was so excited about Shadowlands because they promised that professions would be improved and feel meaningful. They didn’t deliver. They just added a small handful of items to craft for an underwhelming legendary system.

Go look at crafting in one of their competitors. It’s something worth investing time into.

This content patch feels like it was made by a very small team. A very small one. At least in WoD I had my garrison to work on for a bit, and then the ship yard, and I had something to do outside of a raid. Yeah, the Garrison could’ve been done way better, and there was absolutely no reason to tie gear progression systems into such a thing, nor were there many customization options. But it was something to work on. I loved collecting statues to show off.

BFA had islands where I could group with my wife and my friend, all 3 of us being DPS, and we could go hunt some collectibles. MoP had scenarios that were useful for alts.

In Legion, Fishing and Archaeology were solid professions to work on. I loved Legion fishing. I loved Legion’s profession quest chains and the class stories.

What’s Shadowlands got that even compares to any of it’s predecessors?

just want to pop in on this, because it’s the only relevant thing I feel I can add to a conversation that’s well above my paygrade.

Torghast is soloable, but it’s boring and drab. It’s all the same color with all the same minions. Levels upon levels of the same thing. I’d much rather have a soloable outside world, but we have the covenants and their dailies, which, are all the same thing day after day after day.

I dunno, I got bored with it. I have no drive to play this game in this state.
