Because no amount of money in the world can change how a DDoS attack works. Sure, there are prevention things in place to attempt to block/limit the damage they cause. But at the end of the day it’s always reactionary and plenty of other billion dollar companies have had their things brought down. A single person can bring a giant company down for a bit depending on how big of an attack they launch.

I really wish people would stop pointing out how rich they are as if it has anything to do with how these attacks work. A simple google read will educate you on how they work and why it’s so silly to mention their net worth.

I am not an IT person, so no I don’t think I could do better. A multi-national corporation should be able to do better.

They are doing quite well given the size of the attack.

It’s not like they were not given a heads up.

Means absolutely nothing in a DDoS attack. I mean they could’ve just took all servers offline to stop the attack. But the result would still be the same with down time and when they brought them back up the script kiddy could just find another way in and do it anyways.

They didn’t say anything that I saw about the first attack and there is still no information on the Battlenet home screen. At least tell people what is going on.

It’s very possible that they simply don’t wish to even acknowledge or help provide the individual who’s doing this with the Internet fame they’re clearly looking for.
