9.0 is actually 8.4

Well, this has been happening in several areas lately. I mean a lot less work to remove tier sets and they didn’t mention they were going to bring them back.

What did the BFA trailer have??? Warfronts and islands? lmao. Do me a favor and rewatch the BFA release trailer features.

It had:

  • New Zone Announcement W/ Dungeons/Raids
  • Islands
  • Warfronts

Wow…and 2 of those announcements turned out to be hot garbage. So you want shadowlands to add one more garbage system just so it matches BFA’s number count??? So much for quality over quantity.

Its almost as if they didn’t give us all the information. Like they werent ready to share a bunch of details yet because they were still working on a project that hasnt made it to Alpha yet.

They havent even released the collectors edition yet. Probably because it will spoil certain things theyre not prepared to spoil yet.

Not personally super hyped for the expansion myself. it feels like the whole “they will fix classes in 9.0” thing turned out to be false.

Really sad about that as it was one of the things i was looking forward to the most.

Instead it looks like we are keeping the BFA classes with just some extra abilities, and nothing else.

Oh well maybe 10.0 will fix it

Oh man, this made me

Except it changes fundamentally several subpar game mechanichs.
There is also a whole new talent tree system for each convenant and a new skill whch you can choose from 4 convenatns which by itself is in fact a talent.

No new class. No new race. Nothing new with professions. No significant class changes. It’s a fair question: outside of new zones, new raid and a level cap - which are basically what happens every patch - what are they adding?

Between what I’ve seen for Shadowlands and how bad BFA was… yeah, this is the first expansion I have zero desire to preorder. I think Activision’s solution of “cut as much cost, charge as much box” is on full display now.

Dont think we know everything about 9.0 yet (especially endgame) i do hope they make professions more profitable compared to how they are now.

we know basically nothing about the expansion yet… they barely know anything about the expansion yet lol. It’s obviously way earlier in the dev than we’re used to seeing them announce stuff.

They really couldn’t because new talents(convenants skills) nor talent trees(convenant skill treetoo) system revamps(leveling revamped entirely) and new systems(customized legendary) are in any way or form tied to a patch.
You seem mad because we won’t have a nonsense bad class such as tinker or another race which nobody wants and is forced to be 1% pop like gnomes or goblins.

Nothing new for them since… cata. Literally everything after cata was cut down each exp.

Good.

How customzied legendaries, new 4 skills to choose from and several talent trees to choose from 4 convenants are not a significant class changes?

Ironically the question is only fair if you want to ignore everything.

Pandaria happened because of cata alliance and horde war and pandaria is the sole reason we had wod. Gul’dan wod brings Legions and legions lore brings bfa(Sargeras stabs makes azerite growns) which will now brings shadowlands.
I mean.
You forced this way too hard.

Did you see the amount of customization they’re adding to existing races? It completely transforms your toon. I’d take that over a new race, personally.

I agree that the borrowed power thing is terrible, but that’s an opinion. Objectively, the expansion has a lot of new content. Far more than a patch.

This is a cataclysm style expansion. Massive updates to existing systems + new content. It has to happen. The game is so bloated and disconnected after 15 years of expansion.

Legion did a ton with professions.

Oooookay… here’s your sign.

Interesting way of putting it. False, but still interesting.

Invested rep system where you get more for sticking to a reputation rather than filling up 5 new bars every time an expansion launches.

Firstly… we’re being told they’re not planning major overhauls. This means they intend on keeping the core gameplay aspects similar for classes, not that they’re making zero changes and every spec will play precisely the same as it does now. They’re going to make changes, they’re just not going to go into nitpicking details when the expansion is probably 10-11 months out from launch. Sorry bub, that’s SOP for most game developers.

Gross oversimplification.

You can technically call it a dungeon, doesn’t mean it’s strictly a dungeon in any sense of normal dungeons in WoW.

I think you need to wait to start throwing judgment at conceptual details for an expansion this far out. You don’t know what it’ll be like. You don’t even really have a close approximation. You’re literally just throwing darts at a wall and acting like it means you know something the rest of us don’t.

100% agreed. It’s a glorified patch update.

The only overhaul happening is to the way you level up / the level squish. Which is going to be made faster to get to end game content. Which is just a continuation to what we’re doing in BFA.

Just plain lazy and lame and I’m disappointed in myself for pre-ordering but I do play a lot of alts so the leveling revamp is something I’m looking forward to, but I can recognize something for what it is: a lazy expansion that’s just a glorified patch.

And introduced new systems like Artifacts and M+

Oh didnt see that other person replied to me… alright give me a sec

Don’t worry, alpha/beta/prepatch/9.0/9.1/9.2/9.3/next expansion will fix it!

You’ve done neither, just complained and continue to actually. Not sure how this isn’t completely flagged as trolling yet.

Probably because it isn’t trolling.
