Blizzard may not outright say it, but the endgame grinds are basically required to enjoy any facet.
You have to grind azerite if you want to raid. Dailies are the most efficient form of gaining resources of any kind, and virtually all of those resources are to inform your power grind for raiding. Everything at the endgame funnels into a power progression system that inevitably leads to harder content.
Realistically, the only things you could do are pet battles or transmog. Mount collecting is a thing too, I guess.
Iâm neutral when it comes to wow as a whole - but from the looks and feel on ptr - this is gonna be more of a grind than the previous patches imo. Especially with the weekly lockouts with certain new content.
Hope it feels fun though - for me if the content is enjoyable - I can live with the grind and almost forget all about it.
As for m+ grindâŠ
Anytime anything I really love gets super popular - whether itâs my favorite bands, a tv show I like, childhood video games etc. they suck when they become mainstream. I have a feeling the mythic+ genre is going to be folded into that pattern (at least for me). But we shall see.
Go check Swtor, gear doesnât have the importance it has in WoW and is easy af to acquire, what takes times is tiny damage boosts that come from bis stats and amplifiers.
Mmorpgs donât need grinding, only bad mmorpgs do since they want to keep players occupied and make them fight with each other who is better or worthy because gear is limited to x type of content.
Sorry but people forget games are games and are supposed to be fun, not jobs where you have to do stuff to play the game
Some fans will defend literally anything, because cunning companies try to attach that personâs value and self worth to their ilvl and therefore the more you grind, the better you are and your ego depends on it.
In other words they are defending their weak ego and capitalists jump on the opportunity to attach themselves to anything like that because they know it is easier to get minions to do what they want
The distinction is that whatever you worked towards in Wrath, be it the legendary axe or the LK mount or Yoggâs mount or basically anything in the game back then had a cosmetic associated to it that would be relevant for many years to come.
All of this garbo you are grinding now such as Azerite traits, essences, necklace level itâs all spreadsheet power that is deleted in 9.0.
So I understand, you quit early on in the expansion and now came back. You notice that in your absence the expansion progressed and are irritated that it requires some time and effort to catch up to those who didnât quit and have been playing the entire time?
