Well if it isn’t fun for them, you would think they wouldn’t be playing it. Personally i am having a blast.
Maybe it is just that they like to complain… A LOT. About almost EVERYTHING. Victims to the last.

and not even a stack of Nagrand Cherries rotting away in the bank to show for it…
I considered trying my Paladin or Monk today. I’ve had an active sub throughout all of BfA, but hardly used any of it. The last current content I did was slowly grind BfA flying on my druid.
Realized in order to just start to play a character in current content I’d have to go through 8.2 intro content to even unlock 8.3 content (which is a batcrap crazy development decision for a game that’s already so unpopular, it’s like they don’t even want anyone to play again until Shadowlands). Sub-400 ilvl, no essence, haven’t leveled amulet etc.
Can’t even really do casual PvP on alts without at least catching up a few of these grinds to a semi-decent mid-tier level unless you want to just stand in the back and hope nobody notices you.
Just logged back out. Impressive that BfA manages to be worse for alts than Legion given how obnoxious Legendary RNG was.
Back to just logging in to do some AH stuff and the Valentine’s daily on several characters to try to get a mount I’ve failed to get for over a decade.
lol wut?
It is kind of self defeating as players to clamour that we be given substantial content to keep us busy, at the same time demanding that the content not be grindy, or lengthy, or gating.
People are wanting unique fun content that they can “complete” in a few days and them move on to something fresh, which isn’t a feasible model.
If people really don’t like the essence system, they can get rank 4 Crucible of Flame for almost no effort and it does pretty well for everybody. No need to unlock rank 3 of everything.
So basicly this is a thread that is whining about there being too much to do? Really? what is that even about geezus… Its a good thing that there is a lot to do my god its a mmo if there wasn’t a ton to do…you would just leave the moment you did everything. Stop whining.
i remember having to do pvp in order to gear up for PVP. Now you have to do all the dailies, essences, pvp, raiding, mythic plus and THEN pvp.
I agree with you. While I don’t think it’s a full time job as the OP posted about, it definitely has (and unfortunately) beefed up.
Two words: Rental Power
If 8.3 is a full-time job then I quit.
I started a brand new rogue.
Well i dont know how PVErs take it. But it would be like having to pvp, duel,BG and Arena just to get into a raid.
never had a problem tanking on dk in lich king, hit cap and expertise wasn’t much of an issue and there was some talents in the 52-54 point system to fix issues of expertise and hit.Now I did have a issue with bear tank in Burning crusades with defense rating and always stuck in heavy clefthoof set no matter what gear I got I never could replace that set.I would prefer the real wow way of gearing over what we have now
I used to PVP a lot back before WoD launched so I def. get what you mean.
Now that you say that yeah; end game raids and such remind me EXACTLY of all the jobs I’ve ever been in: a loud mouthed know it all trying to control everyone 100%, one or two people doing all the stuff while trying to pull everyone else’s dead weight, a majority of awful to deal with people who just make prior hurtles even more needlessly complicated, etc. Well MMO end game raids in general really, most games are like “jobs” now environment and social atmosphere wise.
I did all the grinds in lich king and it’s no where near what we got in bfa. plus every grind in lich king was done in 2 and half months
I can’t think of anything in BFA I had to grind for 2.5 months.
Is it the game’s fault that you were left behind after leaving WoW?
You left the game and came back and you feel entitled to skip the “mild” grind of those people who endured.
All the grind you indicated were soft during its time. You only need 15 min per day and youre done and you could reach Exalted Rep, tons of gold from Paragon Chest, and made a Pathfinder a cakewalk.
You are left with overwhelming tasks becoz YOU SKIPPED THE CONTENT. Now, you came back and required to do all the things you left behind. Sorry, no shorcut. We who remained and still kicking … we find the system FINE and FAIR. You have to bleed like the way how we bled… no Shortcuts.
I’m not concerning myself with getting geared up for the remainder of bfa, if I want an achievement I’ll just pay for a aotc add, what I’m focused on is working on getting my lightforged weapons from legion and expanding my mog library tbh.
Blizzard doesn’t need customer service when all they have to do is let the fanboys run off anyone with a problem or concern.
The Rank 4 Naz Essence took 90 days exactly. I mean, it was a vanity thing, but still it took over 2.5 months. Some Rank 4s take significantly longer simply because they are RNG based.
Depends on what you want, I guess. A lot of the issue isn’t the length of the grind, or the time it takes, it’s the never ending hamster wheel of “RNG based” things where the “end” can’t be seen.
I still don’t have rank 2 of the PvP essences because I just can’t do that grind, no matter how short or long it may be.
