8.3 = full time job?

LOL. No. Before Legion, your character used to become more powerful over time. Now, your character is exactly the same character you had at the end of WoD. No new talents or abilities and no character progression. Even leveling makes no difference since content and ilevel is scaled LOL.

All your power comes from gear now. And at the end of BfA you will still have essentially the same toon you had at the end of WoD.

So you are saying that Wrath had more players than Cata. that Cata had more than MoP. That MoP had more than WoD… etc…

I do sense a pattern… Its almost like the majority of the original playerbase is getting older and that younger players are playing other things than mmos…

It’s why when they eventually release wrath or mop legacy it will be about the same as classic. Huge start, half the players gone in 6 months.

I get it. Just stop responding to me. The progression has shifted from leveling to max level. Adding a talent tree that means nothing doesn’t add progression.

If you are actually arguing that gear, essences or the artifact didn’t make you more powerful you didn’t and don’t play. Which is true, because you didn’t. <3

No.

Full time job is trying to rank in classic.

Most azerite armour can’t be farmed. And by most, I mean any with a reasonable ilvl.

Essence farm suck, but it has an end. Also most require like…30 mins content daily at best.

Killing Thrall in visions takes like 5-10 mins. Anything else is optional until higher levels, even then it’s only one extra boss, 2 at max.

Lol! You don’t farm correct corruption, nor do you even need it. Nothing is guaranteed, putting that much effort in for no guarantee is a waste amd 99% of people will just not do it.

Stats are the same as any other version of WoW? Nothing different here.
You go for your better stats just like you go for hit and crit in classic. Or hit and expertise plus your best stats in WotLK.
Secondary stats are in the easiest state they have ever been. So easy that it’s boring even.

Wotlk had more than TBC. Pretty sure mop had more than cata, cata was one of the worst received expansions out there. It’s content drought was also almost as big as mops.

You really can’t look at wod in any way thanks to the devs straight up admitting they abandoned the game.

I wonder why? Maybe this constant transition towards more and more chores. Puzzling

So probably still better than the new retail expansions will do :joy:

The drop off started in wrath. Coincidentally around when LoL came out. But sure, pretend that wrath will bring back 14 million.

Its not like every other game doesnt get big, then drop off for the next new thing…

I didn’t spend 4+ hours a day just to get the dailies done, due to slow spawns and 2 zones I had to do everything in to keep up.

getting gear through pvp in wrath was doing bgs and wintergraps for hours again and again and again lol

Progress there was steady and fun though /shrug

So you are saying that repetitive grind was fun? It was funner than now cause it was pvp?

A reasonable PvP grind will always be more fun to me than any PvE grind.
The issue with the current PvP grind is that it’s pretty much impossible to catch up to those that do M+s.

We also had a goal called BiS items. Something current WoW lacks.

I was about to resubscribe but this thread stopped me on my tracks. It reminded me of the multiple grinds and BS I’ll have to deal with JUST to play with everybody else.

Thanks for saving me 15$.

The AP grind doesn’t exist. I’m at 72 now, I could get to 73 by the end of the week and all I really need to get to is 75. That’s not really going to be an issue

Everything else is the same as it’s always been. Just do your dailies and you’ll get everything you need.

Seriously, screw people who comment with these halfbaked ridiculous comments. We’re allowed to be critical and speak out against things we dislike. We can play the game and enjoy other aspects of the game while criticizing the things we dont agree with. Come back when you have something better to contribute.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making people believe the AP grind didn’t exist.

If I’m not mistaken the shoulder enchants where boa, so that was even optional on an alt. I may be wrong though.
