80% Dragonriding in old world

I stand by that nobody would have noticed and this is just the usual contrived wailing of people looking for something to trash Blizzard for.

ffs blizzard just admit it’s because of load times and leave it at that

Then people would badger them for being a smol indie

Maybe they were worried full flight would feel like pressuring people to upgrade to nvme/m.2 storage. Loads of different era assets stored randomly throughout /Data/ when going into older zones unlike the probably more organized stuff for DF?

Loading asset and unloading them too fast? No we did it because of the ambiance.

I’ve been using a Dragonriding mount for over a year. Yes I would have noticed a 20% loss in speed for no reason.

Go white knight elsewhere.

Blizzard is to blame for 90% of that wailing. People around here are jaded as hell. But yeah, like I said, they did indeed explain themselves. I might not agree with all of their explanation, but at least they took the time to address it. Credit where it’s due and all that.

I actually think they should speed up flight points.

If you saw my post history you would realize just how ridiculous it is to call me a white knight. I’ve been banned from the boards more than once for trashing blizzard. Also you’re a jerk.

yeah. people are always saying things like that in real life. “this is just too high quality” and such.

I’ve been called worse by better.

Whatever, dude. You’re an angry sad individual and this is my last reply to your sorry act. Go complain elsewhere.

I would still have liked them not toying with the max speed, but I got from top of Teldressil to Uldum in about 6 and half mins, not bad.

Wasn’t there gonna be a toggle for specific mounts to also get to Dragonride outside the ones implemented in the expansion though? Is that gonna come in a later ptr build?

I believe that they have a bunch planned for conversion with 10.2.5, even though they are advertising it as a TWW feature.

That’s the only reason I can think of, too. Using a combination of toys (that are sadly zone locked now), and engineering items you can smash against loading “walls” in EK/Kalimdor.

A valid one. Not a good one.

Yea, you would notice that it’ll seem faster on Azeorth than Dragon Isles because you’ll be able to go from Stormwind to Westfall in about 3 Vigor, which barely gets you out of Valdrakken.

Personally a big fan of this because now the dragonriding elitists who trolled threads about problems normal flyers had have something to cry about too. We’re all equal now.

from undercity to the naxx portal under 1:30
still better then the taxi or tbc flying

Dragonriding could cause the occasional crash on the Dragon Isles for a while just because it didn’t play too well with the game’s engine. That might still be a thing, too. I’m sure it’s not as easy as it looks trying to get it to work everywhere else. They’ve been playing with fire as far as the game’s code is concerned a lot lately.

Oh my goodness this is just so typical blizzard… and they wonder where the ‘fun detected’ saying comes from… :woman_facepalming: :woman_facepalming: :woman_facepalming: :woman_facepalming:
