You mean the guy that wants teleporting to every Boss/quest/zone . Good thing he’s not designing the game.
i can go from undercity to the naxx portal under 2 mins lol
Woah hold up there kiddo. Pappa blizz is looking out for you! You wouldn’t want to hit your hourly instance cap too quickly now, don’t ya?
It’s not really a nerf to flying, though. It’s still far faster and more engaging than BC-style flying.
The point is that they didn’t need to touch it. Or if they did, then I would definitely like to know their reasoning.
Arguably its been trivialized since Cata brought flying to the old world lol
It’s likely manually breathing. Yeah its more engaging but there are times when auto-pilot and waiting for things safely is better.
Kind of a bummer but it’s still significantly faster than normal dragonriding. And I also kind of see the point because if you’re flying at full speed you’ll get from the north of the continent to the sound in like 5 minutes.
They likely had a reason to do this. It takes them more effort to do this than to not do this. Perhaps they’ll explain it.
But it’s still more than twice as fast as master riding.
If nobody told you guys you wouldn’t have even noticed.
It will be noticeable. When you use the same mount and one is slower.
Going to PTR and trying this ASAP!
I’m just gonna stick with regular flying so I can afk and get water, snick snack, and stretch while autoflying. Dragonriding can suck it, get bent.
The zones are smaller.
If it was a difference of maybe 5-10 percent, I doubt players would. But 20 is pretty hefty.
Kalimdor is almost twice as tall the Dragon Isles anyway. At least make it max speed in vanilla zones. We already experienced the max speed in those zones with the races and it felt great. They’re the two largest continents in the game. The other old content is already trivialized anyway.
Continuing the discussion from Seeds of Renewal PTR Development Notes:
Yea this is the reason.
The one that’s slower is the one you’ve been using the whole time. You’ve never done this riding in the old world zone to zone, you won’t notice anything.
Well, I might not entirely agree with it, but at least they explained themselves.
I read patch notes though. Always have since they were more open about game changes by posting notes on the old school launcher.
Also a little note here, blizz finally killed range detection today (to stop certain weakauras) after bludgeoning player range checks back in 2018.
This is still more than double current Azeroth flight speed and the zones are astronomically smaller. It will not be noticeable, in fact, it will probably feel faster than Dragonriding on the Dragon Isles.
Your post is really stupid.
