What are you talking about… the Benthic gear is the catch up gear. It can also be more than just catch up gear if you funnel enough pearls into it.
The lay out of the nazjatar zone is pretty crap, though that kind of makes sense. It was at the bottom of the ocean, not really a place for walking/running.
“It was overpopulated woth naga and other super strong scaled creatures because they are trying to bring challange back to the game and it’s annoying.” I kind of get what you mean, the many 1m hp mobs are a bit much, but we did just crash in the home of one of the big powers in the game. Plus she was more than prepared for us, so it being challenging for us to move around freely for a bit makes sense to me. Also, make sure to take your follower with you. Makes a pretty big difference. The “tank” one is pretty nice.
Professions, well crafted armor (especially of the BOE variety) has certainly been ruined. Not sure who would spend 3-5k gold on a 370 piece when there is 385 benthic gear. Everything else is more or less fine, i like that the 3rd stars aren’t behind a rep wall anymore.
To be fair, this patch has way more content than expected, and it definitely has redeemed BFA in my eyes. The zones are engaging and the lore is on point. The mix of daily quests and WQs make for some wholesome content that takes both time and effort to complete. Not to mention the modifications to professions, World PvP action, mega-dungeon release soon, and custom trinkets.
It is fine and you don’t speak for everyone.

Solution - Stop playing. Stop paying money to be bored. Go outside, play in the sun. No one is forcing you to stay and no one wants to hear you bellyaching.
Pro tip:
People can still have fun in a social game, but be unhappy with the content.

i have been here since vanilla, i enjoy the game. i dont like the direction its going… plain and simple. So i will be bored with he content that was copied from legion… but i will enjoy the social aspect.
if i didnt have any friends that played i would 100% quit this game because it is really bad for a fantasy mmo.
Just a heads up, there’s actually several thousand rep to be had in pet battles in the new zones.
So if you want to play scuffed pokemon on scuffed timeless isle and scuffed argus, you can get pathfinder a few days ahead of time.
People get their feelings hurt and their emotions in a wreck very easily around here, emotions are the driving force of everything on this forum anymore.
Few things.
- if you cannot actually provide good feedback, don’t bother. Saying it sucks without saying why is just like a kid saying they don’t like broccoli because its ucky. Even worse when said kid is still eating the broccoli but still saying its ucky.
- Get your thoughts gathered, and list out what you don’t like about the patch…like something along the lines of
a) it’s more grind without substance outside of the grind
b)it just shoehorns existing ideas into new meshes, and we are stuck waiting on anything more substantive like dungeon and raid for arbitrary reasons.
c) doesnt add in anything new for us as players like race, etc, and the only system it implements new is a gimped version of our legion artifacts.
Try you know…being critical and analytical instead of just saying something sucks m8.

I’ve been enjoying the 2 new zones and I’m not much of a pve’er/quester at all.
honestly it’s people like you who gobble up any crap they give you and don’t criticize it.
I like quests like the bejeweled or Jellyfish one.
I hate traversing past all the mobs, so any quest where I can stay in one place without combat to complete are fine by me

I have to admit I’m a little frustrated-- I feel like the big shiny thing I want is Flying, which is an enormous grind, and obligates me to focus my efforts on it. I’m given to understand Mechagon has a bunch of cool toys and Mechanosaber stuff, and Naz has manapearls and benthic gear, but by the time I’ve run all the dailies to get the tiny crumbs of rep, I don’t have any room left to care about the actual content I’m theoretically supposed to be enjoying.
You are not the only one from Vanilla. I was a WoW addict Naxx40 thr WoTLK raider. Yup, my sub is active since Dec of 2004. I played all the Expansions but became casual lately.
It’s the same from previous expansions. It’s what we call Grind. MMO is a game of grind. Did you not notice that? At least on modern WoW, we can skip farming. We just buy WoW token… and go straight to Mythic+ and Heroic/Mythic raiding.
No wonder you are not wearing a Benthic Gear. Coz you are dumb not to know how to upgrade gear on 8.2. Bethic can gear you to ilevel 425. And your trinket can easily be upgraded from Mechagon’s. When the new raid opens and youre still at ilevel 406, good luck. Just whine.
Yeah, the items are scarce. Hard to farm them with 1-star. Do you know someone like me who wants to be on top has to get 3-stars so I could get more in 1 node? I went to Mythic + using my new Haste Food and new Superior agi potion… It works wonders.
This is where 8.2 would be fun… customizing your essences, your benthic, your mechagon trinket with your azerite traits.
I know it’s grindy. What can we do? It’s an MMO. Whatever MMO you play, it has the same concept. Grindy. If you want to try other MMO’s, go and I bet you, you would miss WoW.
