It’s just boring.
All that we have to look forward to are the raid and new dungeon.
god this expac sucks.

You’re not fun. >:(
I like it…
I’m actually feeling quite occupied in this patch.
Naz is very fun, I think you may need a break from WoW as your post seems like burnout, not accurate criticism.
(Mechagon? Ok yes, that zone is terrible).
I’m more than certain that ‘‘we’’ means ‘‘you’’. Because there might be others that are on the same boat as you but there are also many others who look forward to other things also. Sorry to break it to you.
And for crying out loud, what are people expecting from a major patch from WoW… if you find it sucks. Unsub and go play something else. Geez this community is filled with addicts or masochists that love to do something they themselves hate lol.
ok
how about this.
the two new areas are atrocious.
Nazjatar was clearly designed for flying with these annoying cliffs.
It was overpopulated woth naga and other super strong scaled creatures because they are trying to bring challange back to the game and it’s annoying.
I’ve had the same dailys every day so far… requisition, requisition carp, kill this lady and kill 15 of these elite things… the quests SUCK. only fun one was the jelly fish one and they basically made it brain dead to do…
the new gear system is uselss… because the catchup gear we get and the ease of gearing alts means we probably wont have to use it much…
they made the area relevant until you get exalted and then it will only be used to farm mats and get to the dungeon.
Mechagon… extremely useless. Ugly as sin. bin plain empty dumspter heap that is super annoying to traverse because everything catches your feet. same concept as nazjatar… you’ll do it to exalted and never step foot in it other than to go to the new dungeon which will be irreverent in a week once normal raid comes out since it’s mythic only… maybe one day they’ll open it up to m+
then we have the professions… which basically devalue every single thing and recipe below 150… forcing people to fight over super scarce resources in the two new tiny zones.
So… professions… ruined…
banthec gear… useless
zones… really annoying, super scaled and ugly
Quests… really repetitive and boring
then we have the essences… which are there to literally just fix azerite gear issues they werent prepared or smart enough to anticipate and you get to farm these essences and forget about them within a week once you have your best one.
then you get to look forward to stamina yaaaaay
they also created a super power creep with these new essences which is going to speed up the squishing process. I’m guessing by the end of the expac we’re gonna hit close to a early legion levels…
so yea… theres your constructive feedback
At least you went into detail this time but it’s still just your opinion. I’m enjoying 8.2 and looking forward to flying.
what do you enjoy bout it
I’ve been seeing this a LOT of the forums. People who clearly have WoW/MMO burnout complaining about the game literally being an MMO (I have to grind! It’s all about gearing!) or saying “it’s more of the same >:(” uh yeah, it’s World of Warcraft. They can’t make the game not World of Warcraft, and they can’t cure your boredom with it because you’ve been playing it for 8 hours a day for like 6 months straight.
You don’t see these people coming to the table with actual, valid criticism they can articulate (of which there’s plenty to be had, honestly), their tell-tale sign is just “I’m bored/it’s boring” or “it bad”. There’s no nuance and they don’t analyze it, they just pout and whine.
BfA is hands down the worst expansion WoW has ever seen and I want it to be over too, but that doesn’t blind me to the fact that 8.2 carries significant improvement and there’s lots of signs within it that tells me the devs are trying to improve, that they’re listening and that they want to please their playerbase.
Things like this are just so incredibly regressive. All they do is hurt the current discussion of where the game should go and how it can improve. There’s no feedback, just low effort “i dun liek” vitriol.
If you love this game like so many of this do and actually want to see it improve through community feedback, please recognize your signs of burnout. You are actively hurting the game by coming into this discussion from a place that no amount of gameplay improvements could fix. All it does is confuse the discussion and makes it harder for the people who make the game to incorporate community feedback into their improvements, and makes it harder for them to see the valid criticisms people have.
Stop it. It’s useless and harmful. Take a step back.
I’m having fun, so…
Imagine not being able to handle light sarcasm.
It’s okay. I get it. But listen, if you want someone to get serious and have a constructive and beneficial and mature discussion then maybe you should cut the sarcasm.
You might not find it fun but Nazjatar is aesthetically beauitiful, and the music there just makes it more immersive, Mechagon is ok but the art designers outdid themselves. A couple of the follower quests are quite fun actually, the water elemental quest probably being the exception. The catchup gear is there as usual, its there every patch. It made gearing my Alliance main dreadfully easy from my Horde main. I’m sorry that you aren’t enjoying it but thats your opinion and everyone else might not share it.
What’s killing me is one of the “criticisms” this person had was that the quests aren’t fun…and then they go on to describe every MMO quest in existence.
Maybe I’m getting trolled hard since they say they like jellies but if not…yikes.
I really like Nazjatar. Mechagon is ok… just not one of my favorites. I’ve been looking forward to Mount Equipment since it was announced to never have to use the ugly water strider again.
Sorry to hear that OP. Personally I am looking forward to each day getting home from work because I have things to do and progress to make all while having a great time. Hopefully you start enjoying it more come dung/raid release.
That’s not what the OP wanted.
Nah… i don’t have burnout. I play other MMO’s just fine.
You think it’s burnout but it’s just lack of enjoyment.
there’s a difference.
like what? a neck system that was thrown together in one patch because the armor unlocking system didnt feel great?
it’s a failure and has been since day one… the legendary and artifact weapons system lasted the entire expansion. BFA they have to scrap and change mid game because it’s terrible and this isn’t any significant improvement… it’s a band-aid to bring back a LEGION system because it worked.
I think they serve their purpose to make people frustrated angry and quit… because right now the devs and the company is disconnected and blind to their player base… they need a kick in the nuts to realize their “vision” is not what the majority of wow players want or agree with… Ion started to say these things in the last video he did… how they went too far with the pruning etc etc … becasue people are quitting and forcing them to realize their mistakes.
the mount system was a good addition but everything else is clearly just a way to prolong this painful mess into the next expac where the real system fixes will come.
i enjoy raiding. I enjoy my friends… but that doesn’t mean i can’t say how much the other content sucks.
I still play to raid and everything… but i used to enjoy the other content more… now… it’s just a mindless time sink.
To a point… yes… but the fact that i’ve literally done 4 different variations of dailys in 3 days… is really really sad…
the jelly fish one, the tortollen, the zandalari ones… chasing the children, turning them from dinos… making patterns… all those are interesting quests… these dailys LITERALLY suck. the most basic quests you can do… literally no thought put into it… this isn’t a case of “oh every mmo has fetch quests and kill quests”… this is a case of a new area having the equivalent of starting zone imagination quests… daily… over and over
I like Nazjatar too, it gives me the same excited feeling and spirit of adventure I had in Legion. There’s actually stuff to do, unlike the rest of this expansion.
Massively disagree about the mount equipment though. That to me is another one of those examples of blizzard just not listening to what the majority of people want and being unable to take criticism and change things once they’re announced.
