already looking at azerite raid gear for the next raid the majority of it from a blood perspective isn’t worth my time verses dungeon azerite gear.
Raiding shouldnt offer a downgrade compared to dungeons but yet it does.

current azerite vendor is selling gear WITH the extra trait on it ALL dungeon gear is getting the EXTRA trait
Man mythic + people sure got it had. Takes less then 2 months and you can target a specific piece of azerite gear to get the specific traits you want for the specific spot you want at mythic level quality.
Meanwhile mythic raiders are completely at the mercy of rnjesus.

It’s only 165 for a random piece so you could get one of those every 2-3 weeks just like the cache did.
Now you have the option to bank for items that you really want which rightfully have a premium cost.

Dude you’re not understanding the issue here. 385 will be base normal of the new raid meaing I wont be able to buy specific gear untill 6 to 9 weeks into the new tier because they will only offer 415 specific gear and no other level. So up to 27 weeks to get the correct gear. I’ll have to scrap every single piece I come across praying I get extra drops and screwing other people out of the armor.

now the perfect combination for your specific spec will take weeks, and that’s pretty lame.
but that’s one spec; i was able to identify raid pieces with at least near BiS traits and if this tier taught us anything, it’s that the perfect combination is OK not to have

Bones of the damned and gem hide is 600 armor and 7% avoidance at 415, on all 3 pieces that’s 1800 increased armor and 21% avoidance and you can stack on proc 1400 armor on 2 pieces, so an on proc of 2800 armor and this all before versatility takes affect with an on proc 10% haste which is blood dk bis stat. They reduced blood dk armor so we need it more now than ever. Anyone not pushing high keys wouldn’t understand the need for such gear.
To put it into perspective I’m at 7k armor right now. 1800 armor and 2800 on proc is more than half of my current armor with 20% avoidance. You have no idea what that would do for me. None of the next raid tier comes with both gem hide and bones of the damned
your problem isn’t with the currency then, it’s with your specific trait not appearing
can’t do anything about that. you getting more of the currency doesn’t fix the fact you want this specific trait
it sucks you have to wait but my arms set really wants lord of war and seismic wave with overwhelming power for m+ and that could very well be a specific combination
But they designed the system. They know how much currency drops from chests, what gear will scrap down into, the droprates for azerite gear of various ilvl, and even have stats on what content players are doing. Unless they’ve programmed in so much RNG that even they can’t predict how the system works, a spreadsheet should have told them whether this was viable or not.

This is just another path to gearing. Did people honestly expect from 1 week of grinding do get a specific BIS 385 azerite piece?
I wouldn’t have cared if I could grind it out but there is no actual way to grind for it its 100% time gated
Has people completed dungeons this week and gotten any from that? Outside of weekly chest
it was a blue post stating that the only way to get TR will be scrapping and weekly chest. And it wasn’t in the patch notes either.
um, glyphs are still here, they just work differently there is no longer a screen for them, you just apply them to your abilities
They’ve already invalidated Heroic raiding and below with M+, may as well go full on with it and invalidate Mythic raiding too.
They took away useful glyphs, now it’s all just cosmetics
