Can get titan Resdiuum from azerite pieces. So don’t need to rely on just the chest.

An almost useless amount, only 385s give something worthwhile and you’re not just going to scrap 385s willy nilly

Not really if its not worth mentioning, you’re going to get really far with that 1 per 340, or 3 per 355, or 12 per 370.
At BEST you may shave a week off, but most likely, on average, it’ll amount to a day or two saved.

The bigger picture is it doesn’t matter in the long run. The bigger picture is you’re not going to get all three of your pieces in during a raid tier (or season as the like to call them now)
You don’t get Azerite pieces from the chest anymore.
Honestly the system would be easier to swallow if they left that part alone.

9 weeks base to get an item, if you get super lucky with azerite over the course of that you may be able to shave a week or 2 off so lets say 8 weeks, 2 months, for one piece
now, 2 months x 3 pieces? What is that? 6 months! How long does a raid tier (season) last? Oh right… about FIVE months.
So you can’t even get your pieces before the next raid comes out.
Pieces are going to lose a lot of value when the next raid comes out

I think that is the point he is making. By time you get the items they are just going to be replaced. So this grind is too long you won’t have the items in question in a reasonable time frame. This is absurd can people even get 1 item before the next raid tier drops?

wtf does that even have to do with anything? You should be able to get all your pieces within the season itself, to prepare for the next one
So wait for the new raid and buy whatever the new highest is.
