76 Residuum for a 14 key. 675 for a 385 piece

I knew this was a bad idea from the stat lmao the old system wasn’t even bad I got 7 385 pieces in 7 weeks and they’re all just sitting in my bags. This just goes to show that too much crying makes things worse.

i only got 10 dust from a +6. it would be fine if i could target lower ilvl pieces but nah i can ONLY get 385 gear, meaning it would take 68 weeks for one piece from just mythic chests. f*ck progression am i right?

In a few weeks (when people might have 1 piece of mythic bfa T1 raid level gear) 385 ilvl with a 5th trait is going to be normal raid ilvl. So sure, it’s super impressive mythic gear. Very impressive. Up until people start getting it. Which will be around the same time pugs will have cleared the new raid on week one and everyone will be running around with 385 gear that has 2 main traits. Your weeks of work will be utterly meaningless right around the time you finally get it.

What are the chances of you getting the 385 piece you need in ~9 weeks?

If you weren’t already doing 10 pluses anyway you weren’t gonna get those 385s so what you’re saying makes no sense. In fact this new system actually gives you a chance to get those 385s now and that’s the part that doesn’t make any sense.

I can understand the complaints though some people really did get screwed in the Azerite department

dont breakdown your gear yet save the 8.1 azerite gear until they up the residuum in a month.

True maybe I was just lucky but if this amount stays I’d rather keep the RNG in all honesty

They could have fixed the ENTIRE system by just putting azerite gear into M+.

people would then ask how are they suppose to get 385 out side of mythic raiding? Why not make M+ scale to 385, and while their at it remove the titan forge system and make sockets static. They could do a lot to make the game funner and more time/skill based but it doesn’t look like that’s ever going to happen at this point.

You won’t get an argument from me. This new system is hot garbage

Their entire counter point to what you’re proposing is that it invalidates mythic raiding why raid when you could just farm plus 10s and above all day and get all your 385 Azerite pieces

Fine, lets do the math:

I’ll assume weekly +10 because I think that’s where most people stop.

So each week, without stepping into a raid, you’re getting at least 60 TR. If you do a mythic world tour you’ll get on average 4 370 Azerite pieces, which you can scrap for an additional 48. Toss in an average of getting 1 370 Azerite piece a week from an emissary, and you’re looking at 108 TR a week, netting you a piece every 6 weeks.

So you’re right, doing literally only M+ will get you something every 9 weeks, but if you spend an extra 2 hours a week doing trivial content you can get a piece every 6 weeks.

And that’s assuming no world questing. No raiding. No PvP. I can’t fathom why you would think you’d get pieces faster than you will without having to do anything remotely challenging.

So what is the benefit of this new system for anyone not running M10s? Their message is basically do this or go collect pets.

ONLY BLIZZARD LOL

A bad system made worse

FFS bring classic already BFA is a dumpster fire burning out of control.

Well yeah. If you’re not doing +10s, and you’re not raiding, and you’re not doing world quests, and you’re not doing pvp, why would you expect to get the best gear available?

This wasn’t supposed to be a replacement for you to be able to get 385s if you weren’t already doing higher keys. It was supposed to make the system less RNG. But with the amount you need to target a piece they might as well have kept it RNG because the amount you need is absurd.

this is easily the GOAT patch, y’all are in a tizzy for no reason.

ONE piece of gear every 6 weeks is still unacceptable

m0 currently gives you 340 gear where is this 370 coming from? Dungeons aren’t going to scale up until the raid hits on the 22nd of next month so try again.

pvp? that’s like asking a bear tank to go tank a 17 before current patch. It just wasn’t worth the effort. If I was a demon hunter SURE I’d love to pvp with one of the top classes. I’m blood/frost and frost is so horrible in pvp no one wants them and that’s a FACT not my opinion.

Raiding? I guess I could pug heroic and assume 1 piece of azerite every 3 weeks so 10 TR?

World quests? 1 a week seems fair.

So by the 22nd when the raid hits you will be damn lucky to get 1 piece of 385 which will be normal raid tier gear

people

every single boss in the new raid all drop azerite gear.

this is a massive improvement over the current tier where Azerite Armor of the ilvl you want is nearly impossible to get without luck regarding ur chest.

we will be getting a lot of azerite gear in the next tier, meaning you’ll find your bis extremely fast or rack up currency to buy the one you want.

this currency is a solution to the azerite problem of this tier, where the sources of armor were very very small.

in a few weeks, every boss you kill will have a chance to give you armor WITH an extra tier of traits.

the real complaint here should be this currency is going to be useless extremely fast. like as soon as Jan 22 fast.

in fact, does anyone know if Azerite Armor from this season will be getting an extra ring? if not, there is literally no point in buying it because even an LFR piece would be better because of the extra trait tier.
