50/50 ToGC is easily the most toxic I've ever seen raiding

Yes in retail there are a ton more ways a single person can wipe a fight, but if you wipe you try again, if that person learned from their mistake you’re good to go and can forget about it.
In TOGC even if they learned after a wipe or two, you now are down attempts and lost loot that you can’t get back. It also makes it incredibly risky to experiment with different strats, or rotate people in OS roles to practice (we rotate our 3rd tank spot on Anub between a few dps)

The cloaks are like 40 dps everyone calm down.

We got 2 tank cloaks in a row. People are very upset.

If you go from 252 cloak to 50/50 cloak it’s legit like 40 dps idk why people freaking out lmfao.

According to what?

According to sims tiny abom pull way higher and DBW is about equivalent to death’s choice. The difference is that DBW is way more rng. At least that’s for ret. You might have a reason to replace death choice with ruby sanctum trinket but there shouldn’t be any reason for a ret to get DBW over someone that benefits from arpen.

Yeah, I’m asking him what source he’s using to assert that DBW is outclassed by Greatness or Wrathstone.

how did this devolve into arguing about trinkets? trinkets that are obviously hunter prio

Here’s why DBW is garbage for ret paladins since we still got ret paladins believe it’s a good trinket :
Obvious factor : armor penetration. That is the worst stat ever for ret and doesn’t serve any person for rets since majority of their damage is holy damage and not physical damage so you’re never going to see any use of that arp outside of crusader strike and melee swings.

Random procs : chances of you getting a proc you want vs a proc you don’t want are 2/3 and has a 90 second icd. So if you proc haste bro you are screwed for 90 seconds without a trinket and that’s 90 seconds of NO DAMAGE because you’re choosing ArP over trinkets like DV which gives you 256 AP or Tiny Abomination in a jar which gives you hit so you’re not completely getting screwed over by the RNG factor of the trinket.

Here’s why Reign of the unliving or Reign of the Dead is terrible for dot classes :

Obvious factor : it doesn’t proc off periodic damage and when majority of your damage comes from periodic damage. It’s kinda hard to see any good value from that trinket. If you’re playing a warlock. Your only option of ever seeing any value from that trinket is to just go Destro.

The only good thing about that trinket is how much spell power you can get from it which doesn’t do any justice for what the proc chances are. You’re going to be hard casting a lot of spells before you ever see yourself stack 3 more and you’ll probably ever see yourself procing more than one mote off that trinket on any bosses.

So if you don’t want to feel like a griefer. These should be your last options.

if blizzard is watching this topic, they would put those trinkets on shop for $$ xD

Blizzard has never sold gear on a shop, that’s pay 2 win and has never been done in wow.

they haven’t yet but one day they will.

Solid take, 15+ years of never being pay 2 win but the day they cave is soon!

10 years of leveling your characters from their starting level, then they caved and added the Character Boost at the end of MoP.
11 years of RMT not being allowed, then they caved and added the WoW Token in WoD.

That’s not p2w.

It gives a time advantage over those who aren’t willing to pay. So yes, pay to skip is pay to win.

This has nothing to do with my opinion of P2W, or those features, idc personally.

P2w has to have an advantage over a player that the player who doesn’t pay for said advantage can never obtain or obtain in a reasonable amount of time.

Buying a boost to the level to start an xpac isn’t that. Buying a 70 boost to start wotlk classic in that xpac isn’t p2w.

It has no lasting advantage and everyone can do it for free in a reasonable amount of time.

Real p2w would be buying Shadowmourne MK2 off the cash shop that does double what normal Shadowmourne does, because then no matter how much you played you would never reach the paid for weapons player power UNLESS you also paid.

It’s not… Tiny Abom in a jar and Death Choice is (or the Deathwhisper 10m heroic trinket)

And that wasn’t even close to what the person said. They said selling items. Not special items that are only obtainable through the shop. Items that any person can get.

And reasonable time is extremely subjective.
