50 character per account limit needs lifted

For me, lockouts and restrictions exist so if I want to do something more than once I have to have more than one character. If I want to do it more than 50 times I have to have more than 50 characters

serious… in 15 years of wow i probably dont even have 10 alts, who teh f has 50

First off, I … even if from a business perspective makes sense to keep adding more … doubt they’ll do any in the near future. I think they really want Shadowlands to succeed so their focus and time is on the core gameplay. (Takes time to do new AR’s)

But yeah, I agree. And with Shadowlands reducing leveling to cap… with desmephisto doing it in several hours… makes it more obvious that space will become an issue. No argument there.

No one does. They can easily delete characters they no longer play, and low levels that probably never got touched. 100% they’re not using all 50 characters actively.

Also there is a way to up your character limit to 100 btw. Get a 2nd account. Expanding past 50 slots makes no sense.

It’s why they are (alt)OHOLICS … they admit to it being their issue that they suffer with.

I need more slots, got a lot of bank alts on various servers and regular max characters on various servers as well, and then horde and alliance of course.

I support this OP.

Bank alts is where it’s at :sunglasses:

You don’t need to understand it. Just know there isn’t a reason to oppose it as blizzard is already ready to make the commitment to 1 player having hundreds of characters without paying a single cent.

It isn’t the norm at all but they are still ready and willing to do it. Many of us are even willing to pay for extra character slots so we are not even expecting them for free.

I would pay for an entire other sub for 50 additional slots each month however I want the convenience of it all being on the same account and not having to log into a different WoW account to swap toons.

It’s not convenient having all your characters on one account.

Yes it is for me. and Like I said I would pay $30 a month to have it that way. I am willing to pay the price of 2 accounts without having to have 2 accounts to have 100 total character slots.

That’s fine by me, I was nearing the 50 cap last year so this past friday after I got paid I bought 3 more wow accounts and joined teamMultibox  And I got to tell you guys, if you remember what it was like to quest with looms preLegion scaling that’s what it’s like questing on 5 characters at once

100% I do  and now that I multibox I no longer have to spend literally all day doing the same thing 50 times. I do it 10 times and can add more to my workload elvis Dance

Multibox bro, imagine splitting your workload in half and doubling your power

Oh god, stay outta Naz’jatar please… we have a MB problem there as it is with that infestation making those lands empty of nodes

I don’t like this. I have my own morals.

I just want the convenience of it all being on one account. I am not asking to lower the price.

I don’t see how besides the quickness of logging on. With two accounts I can port myself (on either faction) any where in the world. I can check the AH from a raid or bg. I can join two queues at once. 10 dungeons an hour cool down? Not for me.

Having two accounts is amazing if you have a ton of characters.

Oh you become an excellent planner when you have a ton of alts lol. My spreadsheet skills have gone through the roof lol.

I don’t need to understand it. I do understand from Blizzard point to view in a way though. I use to make websites with massive back-end databases. I’m sure 1 character in WoW likely creates minimum of 100mb of database space. Sure that doesn’t sound like much to you but think how many characters there are total from active to in-active. On top of that you need redundancy and backups. Now you’re tripling or even quadrupling (if not more) total space needed.

50 characters is A LOT. The fact that they have offered this many for maybe 10 years at least is pretty good.
