I’ve been here for far too long to quit over slow patch releases. The day I quit, I won’t hang out on the forums, I’ll just leave.
I quit even though I’m still on that damn 6 month sub. Waiting for it to run out. I had 4 accounts. So yeah I’m part of the 41% loss I guess.
OMG - Because the company DOES tell them!
You are treating them like some third-rate fan site!
They receive private documents from Blizzard that aren’t made publicly available and then produce these numbers for people like stock holders!
I did a 6 month sub a bit ago … its the only reason I am still subbed.
My usual end game is M+ and I often get KSM, but without being a raider or part of an organized group, the way gearing was done in SL left me so far behind that I have never been able to really get into groups … and now there is so much disatisfaction with the game, the M+ group finder is virtually barren at the time I play except for the leets doing their 15s.
SO, with no real path to progression for a player like me, SL has been my worst experience in WoW yet, and I have played since Vanilla. There’s nothing for me to do, except farm some gold til my sub runs out.
I highly doubt this happened.
But if you believe it more power to you!
I am no longer concerned with this topic honestly.
Time to focus on 9.0.5!
I still don’t know how someone this passive aggressive got green text.
Honestly, go do some research yourself about the company, their history, how it’s used in the industry, the people who use their numbers to make business decisions and investment decisions. This is how the company has operated for decades: by providing information relied upon by other companies.
That’s why, in the same post, they list the profits made. Company have agreements with them to release their information to them to show people with stocks or an investment in the company how things are going.
Honestly, if you really doubt Blizzard provides them numbers, then you simply don’t know much about the company itself or how it operates in society.
I’m no longer interested in this topic, thanks though!
Then you can stop replying, go away from the thread, and engaging in posts that simply demonstrate your ignorance.
Yep, two accounts run out in a couple days! Not only is SL a drop fed mess, but the people running the game/company are all dense tools at this point. The mods here suck as well, the company and over all forums have turned way to Liberal/Woke for me. Also can’t take a company for real when they are all about that China money. Btw another thing you can’t do, is say China… Wonder why? I mean camps with 1million people in them, but don’t talk about it… cause reasons…
Screw blizz and there woke bs!
This is funny because with Steam Release of Runescape and now Old School Runescape also on steam, they add to open new worlds because the members world were constantly full and now they’re having server access issues because there’s too many.
Call me old fashioned but if I quit a game, I stop hanging out in said game’s forums.
If and when I quit. I’m gonna fully commit to it. Why would I be hanging around forums if I’m supposedly not wanting to play anymore? Then you have people claim the something is literally unplayable, games sucks, etc. So more important question is: What would it take for you to move on?
I haven’t decided yet. Sub is up in 10 days.
Honestly, the game’s boring. I don’t PvP at a high level, my raiderIo score isn’t high enough to easily get 10-15s… I just have to get lucky and try to run with guildies - so I have no clear way to progress my character outside of Raid Night and since raids no longer give loot, there’s really no point.
Oh and IMHO: H Sire D is the least fun end game fight they’ve ever designed in the modern era. The thought of having to keep doing him after AOTC churns my stomach.
I am, but not solely because of Shadowlands. I haven’t had an active paid subscription for well over a year. I cancelled during BFA sometime after 8.2 and have only been occasionally playing on game time tokens and Blizzard balance. The removal of PvP gear vendors was one reason of many that made me realize this game is not worth my money any longer. The release of Shadowlands did little to nothing to change my opinion; “Not BFA” was not a selling point for me. While there were many things about BFA I didn’t care for, there are deeper underlying issues I have with the game that trace back to Legion, with the warning signs showing in WoD. Shadowlands is simply a frustrating disappointment to me, and nothing in 9.0, 9.0.5, or 9.1 is blowing me away. The lack of so much as a single new Heritage Armor set is particularly mind-boggling.
While it was fun in the moment, Legion was also responsible for reworking or outright removing some of my preferred class specializations. Two expansions on and little has been done to address them despite community pushback. BFA and Shadowlands no longer feel like new expansions, but rather glorified Legion patches. Blizzard has chosen to only double-down on all of Legion’s systems and I don’t care for it.
I had also started FFXIV and eventually came to the conclusion that it was more worth my time and investment than modern WoW; it’s simply a much more polished, more accessible game (with a wonderful and carefully-crafted story to boot) that I can much more easily justify paying $12.99 a month for. And I didn’t even go into the game looking for a replacement MMO for WoW, I wanted to try it out as a Final Fantasy game with an online component first and foremost. Classic is too archaic and I doubt BC will be much better for me, WotLK won’t be here anytime soon, and neither the gameplay nor the story of Shadowlands is keeping me engaged. I also have a large backlog of games that are much more entertaining and worth my time.
BFA went off the rails in nearly destroying Warcraft’s narrative (without a single consideration for the RP communities), and I don’t see it being repaired any time soon.
Despite what this post sounds like, I do consider myself a Warcraft fan. I’ve played since Cataclysm and never considered myself a complainer; I wanted to see WoW continue to succeed as much as anyone else. I don’t want to quit this series. But as of right now, the current direction and design philosophy of the game only actively frustrates me and I can’t see myself returning until there’s major change. Not to mention much-needed improvement of player communication on Blizzard’s part.
Compared to post Legion content. They absolutely were.
I dropped off pretty early on and took a month or two break from the game. I kinda went too hard in the beginning I think so I got burnt out. Currently just leveling alts to 60 and playing through each covenant storyline. Its a much more enjoyable experience when you aren’t focusing only on grinding for gear and anima.
I have no reason to do so.
The only way I could possible quite is if the game is rendered unplayable outside group content at level cap and being forced to chose to so called “GIT GUD” at this game over improving in digital art.
I had intended to be one but my sub renewed before I got around to cancelling it so now I have a 6 month sub that I don’t really want.
Depending on how long ago that renewed, you might talk to customer service and see about a refund. I mean it can’t hurt, it is like 80.00 to get back.
