Then let me suggest a few things I found fun for a while.
The pet battles and dungeons. Starting with the timeless Isle. It was a great challenge to do those without being able to heal. So you need lots of groups and pets.
The dungeons are really fun. You get to test run them, then setup your teams and do it for real, again no healing (I think).
The bonus is that there are tons of achievements tied to collecting and battling.
If that’s not your thing, then I also went on a old legendary collection spree. Dragonwraith, Shadowmourne, thunderfury etc.
If that isn’t your thing, then loremaster itself is a fun challenge. Outland itself is all over the place, lol.
There’s xmog as usual, chasing down mounts, even RP servers of you want that.
There’s just no reason to waste the money since you can’t get it back.

Currently doing the Shadowland’s Safari or whatever it’s called this time to catch every battle pet. I keep meaning to do the battle pet dungeons I just never seem to be in the mood but I definitely want to do them. I appreciate the suggestions though and will definitely be doing many of those things when I feel like logging on.
I was trying to level all my alts but the maw intro makes me want to never log on again.

Speaking for myself, I went Classic. I am glad that you would just leave it, though I doubt that is true, but many of us have played for more than a decade and a half, have time that we can read forums but not do other activities, and come here for various reasons. Personally, I come here hoping to read that Blizz has decided to make a change for the better.
Now this surprising. I assume then you only joined WRA for the community because most rpers would drop FFXIV in a heartbeat if they saw the kind of rp that goes on there …except prehaps those that hang out in the goldshire inn in MG.
But don’t take my word for it.

It’s way to generous. The real number is probably a lot more.
Game stinks.
Torghast is lackluster. The grind is terrible. Our rewards are missing or meaningless. Balance is out the window. Covenants are a joke. Player choice is a joke if you take this game seriously.
So many of the moving parts in SLs just don’t click together.

i still dont see it, quite a few of my characters Covenants were picked just because the ability sounds fun. Ion himself plays a sub optimal covenant for his spec and still keeps up dps wise.
the problem is everyone wants to follow the guides to T at the cost of their enjoyment

I’m just taking a break until 9.0.5 and also taking a break from Classic until TBC.
I have stopped doing most of anything that has to do with the new expansion. It’s just not appealing or fun to me. I’m still subbed but that’s because I’m puttering around with other things in retail combined with Classic. Guess I’ll be playing new content in 10.0.

I want to be. I’m just waiting for a game that ticks the gameplay boxes WoW does and feels nice.
All the other MMO’s are crap really. To be even worse than WoW, you gotta be a real mess, but that’s how it is. ESO’s combat and character models are trash, GW2 is blegh, FFXIV is just another crappy asian MMO I can’t deal with.
SWTOR’s great, but it’s only good in a short burst once a year because they don’t get content out fast enough. If they could keep up the pace with WoW, I’d stick with it I think.
I play but not close to how much I use to.
Raiding and M+ have been come chaotic and unfun. It’s all about blitzing through to the next encounter and then finding the one spot that 10 where 10 different things are not trying to kill you, and if you do that you win. The mechanics are just boring.
I have zero desire to play an alt because I dont want to do the grinding for renown, anima, etc.
And covenants suck. You either pic the transmog you like or the ability that actually helps you. They shouldnt have tied different abilities to them.

i just recently started to play again. kinda disappointed tbh as for maybe the past few months all i have done was make this same damn orc shaman 2 times over. this will be my 3rd.
i am also tryna kill some time waiting for BioMutant to come out but outside of that i dont mind releveling my shaman. wasn’t really geared or anything anyways. i have another 4 months on this sub and despite i may hate certain aspects i still play here and there. i know my limits and when it gets bad i take a break. people always just assume im shet posting just to complain but reality is i care about the game rather see it in better days tbh but sadly i feel devs have their heads so far up their bums in terms of ego that they have lost passion for what they do and rather sit back and collect
Technically they lost me. I only play maybe 4 hours/week due to my new work schedule (and I got interested again in playing a different game). But for the next 5 months I am subbed since I xfered gold into one of those 6 month bundles (180 days) right before they removed it… Still have about 1yr of bliz balance in 2 month increments which I’ll probably use, depending on how 9.1 and 9.2 (if its out in 5 months). Or just pause my game time since its not entirely worth $15/mo right now.
If work changes by then, I’d be back playing 20-30 hours a week.
in retail yes, I went back to classic and looking forward to TBC. The community in classic is
more engaging then retail and in my opinion retail is bad all around, the story the game doesn’t feel like Wow anymore.
