Mythic dungeons/mythic plus dungeons
Have you tried to queue for Mythic+ at 340 ilvl?
Iâve very very casually been doing Horde content on a Demon Hunter and got to 383. With this change Iâll probably be able to get close to 400 from just emissaryâs, and the free Warfront gear reward (with maybe a Mythic WQ reward at times).
That seems a bit⌠off. I started also doing some low level keys up to +5/6 and started wondering why I should even bother honestly. I suppose the system works as it is for the top tier players who are looking to min/max by getting that super rare trinket roll to improve their abilities to push a key even further. For them I guess this gear is pure trash. But that is a very extreme comparison between the very best and the rest (5% vs the 95%).
I have friends so no. Are we putting restrictions on being efficient now by choosing inefficent methods so you can win the argument ?
I mean, I feel like getting carried by your friends isnât a legitimate gearing path for most players.
I think you would be surprised at the number of people who do mythic/ mythic plus dungeons and do not carry friends.
Uh, what??
If itâs months away, Classic will drop and retail will be invalidated.
Awkward wording I guess but every guild I am in, have people in the guilds running those dungeons and they will often carry fresh 120s. So it is just the solo players who donât have friends or guildmates that might not be able to go this route and even then people lower than 340 get accepted into mythic groups. I know because we accept them.
And those solo players who are guildless really shouldnât concern you.
IDK man, still think that getting carried by guildmates/friends shouldnât be considered as a legit gear path. It would be like me saying that the most efficient way to get to 415 ilvl is to pay 10 million gold every week for a 9/9 Mythic carry. Technically itâs correct but itâs not at all realistic for the majority of players.
I donât know and to be honest I donât care about arguing this anymore.
I think things are fine and I am glad they are increasing emissaries - think of it as a raid nerf instead of whatever it is you guys are thinking of it as.
This is why they should never have abandoned true progression. Having a couple vendors with non tier progression pieces on them should have been the limit. Bad luck protection.
As soon as they started awarding full sets of previous tier gear in mid Wrath, the population decline started. Pretty much every giveaway since has invalidated and shortened content lifespan. Even as a noob I could progress at my own pace in Van/BC. Last time I really raided seriously was Wrath, and a bit in MoP. But your progress is invalidated so quickly, itâs become pointless to engage harder content.
So this means I have to start mythic raiding then I assume as heroic is no longer content. I am sure without any experience I will be brought in with open arms.
Should honestly close off AotC tuesday. Heroic BoD is being treated as past content. Should officially state it is.
Imagine not having AotC after 2.5 months of 400 IL Emissary gear. Even casual players are going to break 405+ IL pretty easily.
If they nerf a raid, did that mean you had to raid the next difficulty before. Idk, I wouldnât have thought it meant that but do as you used to do.
The beauty of BoD is that 405 ilvl doesnât help you call out colors when in bots.
Sorry maybe I need to explain it. Why should i go raid Heroic BOD for gear when its sitting in a golden bowl waiting to be spoon fed to me. The only option for running content with potential upgrades ( as i do not fish for TF) would be to run mythic.
I personally am not a mythic raider but the player base requires a reward or least have a goal in it for people to do the content.
Think of it this way how many people would ever que more than 1 time for a War front if it didnât give that 400ilvl gear? A BIG OLD 0
Why should you get a job if you can just collect welfare ? Maybe because there is more to things than what meets the eye.
Unlikely. Classic probably wonât be releasing anytime sooner, considering they only recently started their internal Beta testing of Classic, let alone public Beta testing.
In general I donât think Classic will âinvalidateâ retail in general. I think a lot of people are expecting it to be way more popular than it actually will be.
There are many ways to make world quests and emissaries relevant throughout an expansion.
Upgrade tokens, gem slot upgrades, teritiary slot upgrades, etc. Yes, it will always be perceived as must do content. But at least it is content that is being rewarded based on effort and consistency while preserving other end game gearing systems like mythic +, raiding, and PVP.
And this is why I did not like when Blizzard focused myopically on ilevel for gearing and emphasis on primary stats. Because then you are having all your systems competing for players limited attention time. And then players will seek least path of resistance due to limited play sessions.
Instead, Blzzard needs to make all paths of end game content rewarding with gradual rewards (eg vendors and currency) while using RNG like titanforging to reward players with big surprise loot drops.
