Never, if I don’t care for reading the reason I click no.
Lol what?
Precisely zero
Must be another one of those things that only happens according to people on the forums. Never been spammed with it when the vote fails.
I’ve been kicked for this before (and I know because once a party member messaged me saying they were trying to kick me, but they voted no). And then I’ve just been randomly removed before due to - I’m assuming - that reason.
There are a few characters I have that I don’t seem to move as fast on. And then some dungeons I don’t know well, add on top of that I’m legally blind and ugh. My god I get lost in Black Rook Hold SO MUCH. I always mark the tank to follow, but if it’s a DH tank or something, I lose them. It’s frustrating.
So to counter this, I started making a joke at first, like on my Goblin, “My legs are too short. D: I’m running as fast as I can!” and that quip of personality seems to make people not kick me as much. XP
And, you know, once I know the dungeon (and figure out which characters struggle the most), I can buy speed pots or other things to compensate. But I don’t think there’s much I can do with a group of DHs. I just … yeah, walk behind and loot. rofl
Anyway, point is: Yes, this is an issue. Yes this is unfair, and I do think a lot of “innocent” people are kicked with the assumption we’re trolling or w/e. But I think it’s an issue with the playerbase being very impatient moreso than with a mechanical in-game issue. As someone else said, they kick anyway, whether the penalty is there or not.
All we can do is be better as people - be the difference you want to see. I know I will personally always vote No on vote-to-kicks for obviously-new or slow-but-clearly-trying players.
Right
“Oh me??? no never. I’d never just click yes”.
I’ve seen vtk with the reason “heals didn’t know skip” and other dumb stuff. I voted no but it still; went thru
I even seen them with just random letters typed in and they still passed.
Ah the classic “it’s never happened to me so it never happens ever.”
Right
Source please.
lol
You don’t get to just make up any scenario you want and pretend it’s common.
I’m sure it’s happened once or twice, let’s not pretend it’s happening often enough to care about.
You’re just using it as a convenient excuse, same as usual in these threads.
Good thing I’m not making up and pretending things
If making baseless accusations while simultaneously packing your head into the sand is your MO, then have at it.
And a majority of the players disagreed with you. Congratulations welcome to the real world, where people won’t have the same opinions as you.
Same, when the issue is so obvious that taking the time to write out the reason is redundant because we all know WHY we don’t want the person in our group. Sorry you got disagreed with but the vote was yes.
I can tell why you get kicked.
You weren’t there
Don’t have to be. I’m putting two and two together.
It’s obvious to me as well, maybe you should look inward for the source of your problems.
So you are mad cuz I won’t go along with vtk with no valid reason.
Sorry. When it’s something like Tw I see no reason to kick anyone.
YES, even if anther player never moved from the zone in spot.
TW isn’t some big major deal that is going to have some life long impact on anyones gaming career.
it’s tw, get over it and just get it done, geez.
I replied to your alt already.
There’s a second button. It’s called “no.”
Y’all might want to try it some time. I know I do.
If people are mindlessly hitting yes to a VTK pop up, I can only imagine that these are the same people shocked when their computer or bank accounts get hacked.
It’s not a super common thing, no. Like, realistically, it’s just not.
Like, for some actual anecdotal stats on my part: In the past 2 weeks I’ve ran 35 TWing dungeons. I’ve personally been kicked 0 tims, but I’ve clocked “No” on Vote-to-kick for stupid reasons 2 times.
Once was “Tank is bad.” (He was just new and slower than they wanted - but he was objectively fine for said content.)
Second was, “Mage afk.” He was just slow and got lost.
Oh, as an aside, while I was on my Warlock, we had one of those speedrunner tanks who said, “Step is up mother [bleep]ers. I got [bleep] to do. Gonna kick lowest DPS.”
No vote was ever issued, but … I guess it might’ve been me and most people voted no. XD So that’s a possible attempt to kick, but I can’t confirm.
So let’s say 2.5 out of 35 for this sample size. So that’s like, what? 7%?
Very small sample size, but yeah, that’s about right. I think it’s fair to say that if you ran 100 dungeons, you’d encounter this about 5 - 10 times.
So it’s not super common, but it is frustrating and stressful. I think a good way for Blizzard to fix this may be to offer a clear pathway in older dungeons that players can turn on or off in their UI.
Or like, we can see footprints of where our teammates went for a few mins. Again, toggle option in dungeons. That’d be cool.
Things like that would definitely help fix this issue at least somewhat.
Really, the people saying everyone just clicks yes to get it to go away, they’re only telling on themselves.
And yeah, people who can’t figure out how to read the prompt first, or just click no, because they panic that something popped up on the screen, let’s say those people are probably also not great at managing other systems within dungeons, resulting in them getting kicked more often than others.
