It’s funny. They could just ban all bot accounts easily, but they’d rather cash in on that illegal practice :^)
I understand the math on it, but it’s similar to truestrike shoulders (11%). Yet you never see those. I have had countless 0/5’s
More like poor game/class/spec design in Vanilla/Classic screws Feral Druids (& most others).
Stop farming MCP on raid day…
Easy fix
Want to ply the “meme” spec with what the OP says is “Highest skill cap In the game”?
Then you hve to put more time and effort into the game to achieve your results. This means farming more consumes, pvping more than most classes, and farming your mcp endlessly so you hve like 30 in your bank…
So yeah go farm MCP on Monday raid days if you need it. If you can’t commit that time, you can’t be a top feral dps and we will still love you no matter what
People definitely have truestrike shoulders. If you’re farming mcp constantly I’m sure you do hit 0/5 occasionally (14.5% of the time actually), but in large enough numbers you will have more cycles of 3, 4, or 5 mcp in five runs than you do 0 in 5.
Hmm, I mean I guess this is viable if you play WoW full time living in your mother’s house
Maybe not so much and ooopseee moment but that the direction of the game changed from a casual world game to a raid game in mid Vanilla. The real change came about with ZG in vanilla and everyone and their actual mom getting into raiding. That’s where hybrids lost their edge to a degree. Before that when the majority did dungeons, everything was actually really good.
If you play feral druid specifically then you should expect to have this type of grind to compete. Sure you can be a mediocre feral druid but to be top tiddy you have to farm MCP. Now that means you have to put in extra time on non raid days.
If you can’t handle that then you can’t handle the top tier feral dps and that’s ok
My point in saying that is regardless of what the “drop rates” are listed as. You still might not see a specific item for a long time. Truestrike says “11%”. It took me well over 100 UBRS runs for that 11/100 chance.
The point is that not everyone has time to play this game 40 hours a week. Many of us have things called responsibilities.
So being able to knockout raid farming in a day or two is a lot more convenient then spending 6 days doing it.
Right…so if you hve “responsibilities” like is normal folk, then you will NEVER compete with the top tier players who don’t. So stop trying and stop complaining that you can’t compete with them because that’s what it takes. Time commitment
I agree that blizzard made it more inconvenient to farm an item that is ONLY needed for a specific spec to be at the top of their game.
That’s like complaining it’s extremely hard to get the warchiefs blessing on a human warrior on a PvP realm. Yeah that’s not convenient and it’s 100% needed to be the top parsing dps warrior you can be
You are an imbecile.
40 man raids aren’t affected by the 30 lockouts per day.
I know your point is you don’t care about numbers because they don’t always apply in a single case, but that’s closing in on literal 1-in-a-million odds, so I’m sorry you’re the least lucky druid on the planet.
“I don’t have time to farm MCP because I … HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES”
… there’s never any acknowledgement that you have the agency to … not farm MCPs for MC/BWL/ZG/Onyxia.
Some of this might almost be understandable in AQ40/Naxx, but LOLOLOLOL at this fanaticism for Tier1/Tier2 content.
Statistical chance never seems to work up with the numbers.
Some people more often than not get 5/5 than a 3/5, some people (myself included) will go 0/5 more often than 1/5.
I’ve had this luck since I started playing in vanilla. Through retail and non again in classic.
Yes it goes against logic, but life isn’t fair and not always logical.
And as someone who had to do Mara over 200 times before I got my 2 NR trinkets off the water/posion boss in Mara. When the drop chance says I should have gotten them well before that 200 mark.
But the world buffs from DMT and Ubers is.
But in large numbers no they won’t. Once your talking about doing 5 gnomer farms dozens or hundreds of times, your numbers will closely match the distribution I wrote out above. Remembering the 0/5s more than anything else is just selection/recency bias
I’m an imbecile for implying you don’t need MCP to raid or do dps?
Or is it cuz I implied that being top DPS and top parsing should come with some sort of time commitment in this type of game which clearly rewards time commitments…
Yeah I’m the imbecile and you think you Feral should be an easy class to play once a week
