Hello darkness my old friend.
bumping this thread! please help us blizzard!
This seems to be a relatively common bug based on the posts I’ve seen about this happening previously. Basically you need to make sure you keep your gold on a bank toon just like we all used to do. The warbank simply cannot be trusted.
At this point I’d take any acknowledgment, even if it’s bad news.
My thread got nothing, and I’m not able to post in it anymore because you can only do so many posts in a row… I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s nothing Blizzard is going to do. They’ll “fix” the issue in the code, but anyone who was affected is out of luck.
Losing a mere 20,000g made me stop buying tokens.
World of Bug. I need to buy a token asap and I can’t because, somehow “warband bank being used by another member of warband”., and all my gold is (was) there… Whata joke!
The fact that we’ve had no blue response on this is insane…
It’s like that with most of the recent post-TWW bugs. It’s actually kind of disturbing considering the sheer “severity” of some of these bugs
Losing 3 million gold (for example) is not just a vague “yeah whatever, we’ll fix it sometime in the future” kind of thing - this level of data loss is a big deal, especially considering there’s a monetary value associated with the loss (losing 3 million gold is roughly equivalent to losing $300 USD)
ya gotta go full goblin on them, they dont give you back your 3 mill start blowing stuff up
Another day, another bump.
I just find it HILarious that we are left to discuss these problems, until posts get deleted because they don’t sound like they further the discussion. So, here is a post interested in what Blizz will do.
CS test. GO!
bump, bump, bump.
They seem more focused on damage control by deleting threads than addressing the issues themselves… I have discovered so many unaddressed bugs from Dragonflight and earlier that are just still there, unfixed, after YEARS… a normal company would actually fix these things… hell, I found a TYPO in a WoD cinematic that has been there since launch… how do they not fix a damned subtitle in all that time?
To be fair though, those older bugs didn’t really “f*#$ over” the average player too much - a bugged quest here and there or a UI bug are fairly “at an arms length” in terms of their impact on the individual player
These TWW-era bugs though; people’s guild banks wiped out, 3 million gold swallowed by the game, randomly reset reputations, etc… these types of bugs just hit on a different level, there is a very real loss of time/investment/work with these recent post-TWW bugs
In other words, these TWW bugs seem to “hit where it hurts” - that’s what sets them apart from the usual/more common bugs we’re used to (such as a bugged quest here and there, etc)
agree with all of this
I cannot imagine putting all the gold I have earned over the years at risk by using this feature or my guild bank.
The in-game GM tickets take you to a call center. They don’t do anything but churn out form-letters. Dead end, cosmetic service.
I just had a character who had almost earned her conquest weapon which would have required a 2500 points achievement have her progress reset to zero.
Just an update: I capped that character. The cap was too low to earn 2500cp. But when I entered Dornogal, the achievement popped and I was able to collect my tokens and buy the weapon.
To be fair though, those older bugs didn’t really “f*#$ over” the average player too much
While true, they do manage to completely screw over achievers and achievements. The other issue is they just don’t want to fix them because it’s “too hard” despite numerous reports.
The bigger issue to that is that no one tests these things before being pushed out. Blizzard have the mentality of “who cares? push out, get monies” and “working as intended, even if it’s at a players loss”
