I was logged on 8/21 around 5:45-6:00PM PST, and I tried to pull out 3 million gold out of my warband bank. Nothing happened. I tried again, about three more times. Nothing. So, I tried to pull out 10,000 gold. Nothing. The game then crashed and I tried to log back in. The game kept crashing and I couldn’t get back in. Eventually, I get back in game and go to pull out my gold, I had a total of 4.90million in there, this time, I look in and I have 1.89million gold in my bank, and 10,000 gold on my character.
I sent in a ticket and tried to get help with a fix. I was told and I quote, “I am sure as an amazing player will be able to get the gold back again.” - THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE PERIOD. I reopened the ticket that was marked, “Answered” (What a joke), and told this GM that GM’s USED to help players, that they would actually come out and take care of the problems that players were experiencing, not, seemingly, troll them. The GM also told me to post a topic here on the forums for a developer team to take a look at.
So, A developer team, you mind getting my gold back for me? Because GM Leoleiheber doesn’t care to assist me. Thanks.

Hmm. What a shame. I’m sorry this happened to you. I was actually considering buying a couple of tokens to sell for in-game gold, but I would prefer to avoid experiencing this myself. Thank you for bringing this to attention.

Is the bug for this being worked on or addressed in anyway? There is a serious issue here. ESPECIALLY considering y’all SELL GOLD through tokens! This needs WAAAYYYYY more visibility here. People need to know that if they have gold in their bank and try to pull it, they can randomly lose it! ALSO - I WANT MY GOLD BACK ASAP! Please respond!

Yeah that GM needs firing. Imagine telling a player that who just had the game steal 3 million gold - totally clueless.

Oh, I did rage! I was livid!! I wanted to screenshot a bunch of this and put it here, but I didn’t see any attach option or w/e. I’m going to try to just copy the image directly and paste it into the text block here.
Something else that is scary about this is if there aren’t enough people talking about the issue, or it just didn’t happen to many people, they are making it sound like they would just ignore it… The reason I say that is the GM said that now that they can see there has been a couple reports they are looking at it. So, basically they didn’t intend to do ANYTHING until there was a few people that had it happen… even if it was just me there should be something that they would do.

Hu god to know blizzard dosent support its players any more there all about money that’s it no wonder 11.0 is super buggy and servers keep crashing I think I’ll pass on buying gold for that new engineering mount I don’t trust having that much gold on me any more because of this

happened to me and the issue was altoholic addon…blizz cs,gms and anyone else that matters do nothing any longer other than a canned response to figure it out yourself

I hope that they get around to fixing this soon. There still hasn’t been any recognition! This glitch is tied into the other glitch, in which items are disappearing from banks as well. If they cannot find a retroactive fix to get peoples gold/items back, I believe that they need to take a look into each person’s case/situation and fix it.

Honestly this is the kind of crap that has the potential to cause players to outright unsub, if not fixed
Losing 3 million gold or having a 10+ year old guild bank (presumably full of rare items or hard-to-farm mats) suddenly disappear because “whoopsie! the game swallowed your stuff, we apologize but we can’t really help you rn teehee… Oh well!” is a pretty big punch in the gut
You can’t just “facetank” some of these losses and be OK, people’s will to play the game will be affected on a psychological level. Over in the “guild bank, what happened?” megathread I’m already seeing a few posters who say they are unsubbing/quitting the game due to their missing stuff

This is truly tragic! I don’t understand what has happened over the years for this to seemingly be the standard. I remember back in the day, whenever you used to have an issue with something, pretty much ANYTHING, GM’s would be there immediately and could fix/alter basically anything to take care of the problem. It’s just sad now.
Tragically, this isn’t the problem for me, it would be nice if I could just disable an addon real quick and get the gold back. Shoot,
I was even suggesting to the GM’s, Hey, you guys can look at the logs for my toon and see what happened and have acknowledged there was an issue there - just give me the gold that got deleted that way I don’t have to wait, and then I can go along on my merry little way… They said that they don’t have the ability to give anyone anything.
Which, if that is true, that is BS and needs to be changed, GM’s need to be able to give/take stuff off of characters because there could be issues that they need to rectify!

The unfortunate side of this is that they are banking on players just ‘forgetting’ about it over time and forgiving the situation for what it is, and paying them more money all over again.
I had a similar situation recently, not nearly as dramatic in scale, that was just brushed aside as absolutely nothing by the GM. Really frustrating.
That’s “just” how they treat us now. It feels awful.
I finally gave up from my ticket(s) - five in total - and moved on. Issue still unresolved to this day, months later.

Exactly the same thing happened to me with 475k gold, I had to click multiple times, it’s like the game wouldn’t register what’s being asked of it, and then the next time I went to the warbank I saw the gold was simply missing, not in the warbank anymore, and not in my inventory. GMs told me that if I kept opening tickets about it, I’d be violating the terms and conditions. Now I’m waiting here in the forums that the ‘‘development team’’ answers my call for help. This is making me insane, literally. I’ve never experienced such a frustrating issue with WoW and not having a staff member being able to help right away is just so damn… anyway, hope they can help us, man, because after playing the game for 20 years, if that’s how it’s gonna be from now on, then I know what I’ll have to do.

The exact same situation happened to me during a server instability at 9:12 PM last night. Whenever I tried to withdraw from my warband bank (using no addon), No gold was moving out of the warband bank or into my character. I tried that 4 times with each time various amount before trting to relog. Back in the game, I noticed a total of 1,992,000 gold (2 millions) lost in the void nowhere to be found in my bank or characters. TSM ledger precisely show a graph of what happened.
Did you get any answer yet? Your story and the story of the 4 or 5 others victims on the support forum is absolutely insane. I hope for the best but I am losing faith. Anduin help.
