I’ll say the same thing I said to you last time. Stop pugging. Make friends and play with them. Seriously, this isn’t challenging.
I went from io 800 -> 1k+ in one sitting by simply playing with my guild rather than pugging.
If you’re going to pug, then accept that your class can’t be part of the meta every tier… and accept that the pug scene is going to magnify the importance of the meta as well as the importance of IO.
Don’t like it? Then re-roll FOTM every tier, OR… just make some friends…

lol a priest not getting invited to M+ pug has been a thing since Legion.
This exp is worse because if you’re not a fire mage, mm hunter, balance druid, you will have a hard time getting into pugs as dps. Even as a rogue, I have a hard time getting into keys even when my io is 200 higher than what was asked.
Disc healing is no exception. Priests have it hard for m+ in legion, bfa and sl.

Op’s main concern is 3 hours of wasted time, making a group at whatever level,ceven if failing can be seen as more productive.
There’s a reason why people like him with no io or experience are not invited. The second you start leading you realize exactly why they declined the risky mysterious long shot.
Perspective is fickle.
Its bc people want ezmode Rshammy or Rdruid this expac. You can argue that OP’s tone or responses might not be great, but the issue comes down to poor balancing.
Disc had atonement and absorbs nerfed bc of mythic raid tuning and that has hurt disc’s output in Mythic + a ton. If you look down the breakdown of specs completing higher keys Rshammy and hpally are dominating bc they have the survivability (mail + plate wearers) and have infinite mana basically. So they (rshammy moreso) can carry people through bad. If Blizz balanced its healers decently we would’nt have this yo-yo issue. 8.3 MW was god tier in mythic + and rshammy was trash. Now its the reverse. For people saying to reroll – you realize you have to put time, effort and a lot of grinding into getting a toon decently geared for something past a 4, right?

I think more relevant is her high IO score and the high M+ she is applying for.
I’m pretty certain she’s applying for 15+ and higher, and the playerbase is obviously much narrower at that level. I also imagine there’s a lot of familiarity and premaid groups looking to fill a member gap, so there’s hard vetting too.
Honestly the only thing the OP needs to do is join a community/guild M+ team as a main stay/core member.
Exactly! That’s how I got it done and geared up. It’s better to build your legacy than leech over someone else.

If it’s not class bias, it’s ilvl bias. Even as a moonkin it takes me awhile to get into keys getting declined by people with worse io and worse logs than I. The atmosphere is just bogus this expac in M+

just like make your own group? I made a group last night at 11pm server time as a warlock and got it filled in 20 minutes
Fun fact: You can’t get declined from your own groups.

Right, but are you 1100+ IO looking to fill M+15 members?
She is. And as you can imagine, the number of players playing at that level is far less than say, +7-8. Like not even 1/10th of that population. There would be much less tanks signing up, and you still have to vet them.
At that level I’m sure she’s running her own keys too, but that can only get so far. You may not have the key you want to run either.
This isn’t a new problem though, at high M+ keys not being the meta class having hard time getting into a key has always been a problem. Class/spec discrimination is absolutely a thing in high difficulties.
I literally was pugging 15s Monday night. I listed my 15 and 16 keys, and there were instantly 1,200+ raider io score people applying. There’s no need to accept anyone 1,100-- especially not DPS. From personal experience, 1,100 raider io is not enough to get into 15 pugs. There are tons of people 1,200+ applying to 15s.

14s too. I do it, if my friends aren’t on. Especially on crappy tyrannical weeks.
People are filling up their vault, basically. Oh, and 1200 are still looking to finish KSM
That does suck, you have done very well so far imo, but I understand what you are saying. I had a very hard time in BfA on my rsham as I approached M15s, I couldn’t get invites and I was trying to chase the M15 mount so running my own key wasn’t a great option (I had only rolled rsham in the corruption patch)
I eventually gave up and left the game until SL. Hopefully you find a better fate here. I’d help you but you are well beyond my level (and my guild’s) already.

Reroll or quit. The meta has formed.
You are on the top end. Only few keys on top end. With many on ilevel 220 fighting over few M+15 keys on Dungeon Finder for invite, that’s hard. It’s not that they hate Priest. Everyone is having a hard time getting to +15s.
Start getting some friends. Join a Guild who’s active on M+15 and above. Find a Community that do +15’s. Getting invited from lower keys is already hard. What more at +15?
