I think what sucks the most out of this is that people are now looking to fill SPEC requirements over ROLE requirements. If keys under +10 cant be filled with pretty much any tank/heal/dps combination, this is a sign that the game balance has FAILED, not just that it’s in trouble.
I main balance and I’m saying this specifically because BFA was a nightmare for pugging +15 as a balance druid - even with a decent io, good corruptions etc
I am not excusing poor or dumb plays/players etc because that can in fact be the case with keys, but the fact remains that this approach towards filling groups isn’t healthy for the playerbase.
EDIT - looking more into what others have said - it would appear that if drums were brought back in line with lust/hero then the options could open up because it doesn’t become a factor since anyone can use drums.
I mean your IO score is ok - but you have like 5 paragraphs of rant that can be summed up by ‘what would I pick if I had 4 people and needed a 5th’. Lust? Interrupts? Broken DPS?
Priests can mass dispell, which is useful in instances. Other then that, I’ll choose the best person for the team out of the list of 40+ ppl.
I mean, this is why people have guilds or groups of friends - then you too can be inclusive on who you add as your +1.
Good for you. I would deny a priest healer any day. They’re just unreliable and most of them play disc. Disc is strong but maybe a fraction of the playerbase can play it properly so am I really going to risk my key and time to take a risk bringing a priest or do I take something else.
Uhh … you didn’t sign up for groups because there was no group finder tool. People formed groups in chat usually in a major city … and servers were almost all booming so it was pretty easy to get into groups depending on the content.
Yep. My alt DH tank officially passed my main spriest in Raider io tonight. I’m actually focusing on getting KSM on my dh tank over my priest. It’ll be much more likely.
