I’m pointing out people’s behavior and reactions to something that has happened every week for nearly two decades is ridiculous.

I swear it’s like watching children throw tantrums.
People dont realize some of us actually have weird days off at work… I was so happy to have Tuesdays off but if waiting to play takes away half the day two Tuesdays in a row its not cool. Of coarse we will live, but its bs they keep doing this. They could do most of this in the background with live updates instead of taking away half a day from some of us who get little time to themselves and have short windows to enjoy the game. But I suppose for a lot of people that play out there, they have all day every day free so they may not understand some of us that actually have a life outside of games and use the game as a means of getting away from the hustle and bustle of real life. I dont care about servers in other parts of the world, work on those separately and dont make the USA have to deal with extended times based on other parts of the world when the USA is the majority of subscribers that started this and keeps this game going.
Why can’t our subscription hours only be used when the servers are up? Servers go down for any reason = game time stands still until back up again. This doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.
if w’re doing 4-5 hours a week each week for a month…that is the equivalent of 3 days of service that we’re out.
This essentially could be something as simple as bumping out my renewal day to 3 days later.
That would do it for me.

I only used the “its in the contract” response because you have the compensation hungry folks saying its a business transaction and they should uphold their end of the contract, which they do… lol all people seem to forget they did give 24 hour compensation a few weeks back, but they all seemed to forget that part hahaha

YOU do get to play the other 700+ hours a month even if they have 3-6 hour downtime per week… Just because it’s during your time, doesn’t matter to the numbers.
You know every time there is someone posting in Gen about the extended downtime, there’s always somebody that’s there spending the next hour of their life replying to a bunch of comments telling people that they need to get a life and/or move on since its not a big deal, and yet they never see how funny that is.

Yeah I post in between doing other things. I’ve already cleaned my house, showered, prepped dinner, and taken care of my dogs and cats, and am now enjoying just chatting on the forums.

I do feel that they should take all the time they need for maintenance, but we’ve had a lot of extended maintenances this expansion.
The maintenances themselves do not bug me, but it’s very clear that they’ve broken the game on levels I don’t recall seeing for a long, long time.
The QA testing is almost nonexistent. Things weren’t great during DF in that regard, but it has gotten so much worse.
It also feels as though very little is actually being fixed because there’s so many bugs.
I’m more concerned about the fact that this is at least the third week in a row that they posted (or didn’t post) it would be a 3 hour window and then at the end of that time said 5 hours. I would be much happier if they just said it would be down for 8 hours and then had it up in 5 hours.
Spectrum gives compensation for internet outages. I have received one.
…you are kidding right? jfc. you agreed to the terms and conditions which you are 100% getting what you pay for. access to the game/servers minus maintenance periods. your “compensation” you’re asking for…is fuggin pennies when you math it out over the $15.00 you pay per 30 days etc.
When your comcast has an outage. do they compensate you for a free month because you were down for an hour or two? no, no reason to expect that here.
EU and US have different maintenance schedules. sorry that Blizz can’t cater to everyone’s work schedule. but whining and crying for compensation makes people look like completely entitled little children.
