28 minute video on why 1.12 AV is bad

Better data of a substandard experience is not better than a heartfelt effort toward creating an elevated experience. And additions like sharding and loot trading, potentially CRBGs as well, remove even more of the draw.

I highly doubt that private servers’ inaccurate data was “heartfelt effort.”

Yeah, the nost guys were simply doing it for the lols.

The Nost guys are a separate case entirely, but they’ve been honest about their efforts being highly inaccurate to how Vanilla actually was.

And northdale?

I mean look, I am giving examples of heartfelt attempts and you are just handwaving them away.

I barely PVP’d and was smoking a lot and even I clearly remember this happening. It was clearly explained to my AV groups multiple times. “Just skip that graveyard,” “Get that tower then join us at bridge.”

“We lost because too many idiots are screwing around in Field of Strife.”

They’re using new code, anyway, not 1.12 code. They have the data from the old patches; availability was not their stated reason for choosing 1.12.

Wrong.

They’re using the 1.12 code as well. They’re retrofitting it to run on the modern servers.

Seriously, people, watch the panel and pay attention.

Not for lack of trying.

Well, that’s exactly what they did here. We are a few months out from launch and this is the first time they spoke about AV.

I was referring to the entirety of the game  not just AV.

Ohhh, got ya; my bad.

I went back to edit my post just to clarify as I could see how it would be confusing. No worries

This is how hype for Classic WoW blew up to begin with.

People who never played, making 20 minute videos about how much the game sucks, and herd mentality kicking in.

I didn’t play pre 1.11 AV in retail, but i still had many 6 hour AV’s in TBC. I played the 1.5 AV on Nost and i absolutely hated it. The landmines were aids… the fact nobody would do anything for the first 2 hours until the Troll boss spawned was aids. I had way less fun in the 1.5 AV than the 1.11 AV which was around until they added reinforcements.

Seventeen word post on why 1.12 AV is bad: Your personal opinion of which one is better.

lets see how easy your mind-set gets your through the elite mobs when you try and zerg a 1.5.

I don’t think your mind-set is going to help you peel the onion… just sayin.

Open beta and day one player here too.

If it was a system based on honorable kills instead of marks then the long wars would be preferred again. You’d be gaining honorable kills and honor to spend on pvp gear at vendors regardless of if the game never ended.

1.5 was WAY better man. The honor system was WAY better. The Marks system where you’d get 1 for losing and 3 for winning and you needed a mark from every battleground to purchase gear was what made people just want to win or lose as well.

1.5 AV makes it harder to rush period. This is a good thing because it causes war instead of two raid groups just running right by each other and making it 100% a PvE fight. Just whoever gets there first and downs the boss with minimal pvp at all…

I find it really fascinating that the two of you seem to know what, people who aren’t you, want, intend to do, or will do. If you’re feeling generous can I have the lotto numbers. I heard the power ball was something over $500 million.

Wrong. No one did 2 epic AVs and never returned. If that were the case there wouldn’t be so much support for “classic AV”.
