We just don’t know at the minute. Hope for the best, prep for the worst. Which is to say that I resubbed to create this thread, and will unsub if no OCE servers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m under no pretense that Blizzard cares either way, but I’m just not playing if Blizzard decides to exclude Oceanic players from their 20th Anniversary classic release.

I really hope Blizzard adds an OCE server, even if it’s just a single PVP server.
It would be a brutal disappointment not to be able to play. As in 2024 I utterly refuse to play on a non-OCE server.

PLEASE! I just subbed 2 accounts and I was prepared to give myself over to WoW classic, I ain’t gettin any younger and would love to experience it all over again. Bring back OCE realms for classic!

that’s only because of pvp balance. the big OCE server is all horde now. just like how alot of the US servers are 1 sided. has nothing to do with the server being ‘dead’. just questionable racial balance decisions.

I’d give it to them. but they won’t like how it keep balance. I’d see horde creation turned off in 2 hour based on cata’s strongs 3800 horde.

when alliance matches. When is that? Now there is the real question.
I’ve taken days to make alliance in how they control population on cata grobb. You find that 30 minute window…and rush it when its there.
and that be this server week 1, day 1. Why?
How does one not have 3800 to 544 populations? kill creation when that 3800 was at mosts 1000. I’d say 500, but I can be nice.
Please provide us with at least 1 Oce server I just resubbed after months off looking forward to playing with my friends and fellow OCE members. I don’t want our community to be divided, please let us oce players experience classic again together in our own realm with local times that suit our lives.

I don’t really agree with the ‘OCE always dies’ narrative, in most situations where OCE has died plenty of other regions have had major drop offs too. Looking at Cata (Using Ironforge.pro, these numbers are logged raiders, take the numbers with a grain of salt), across all regions there are 18 servers above 3000 pop (reasonably healthy server, factions not always balanced though), 8 servers below 3000 pop (struggling or dead), and 65 servers with no tracked pop (I’m not sure if these were all real servers that died off or if Ironforge.pro is somehow tracking servers that were never active.) And if the takeaway from the original classic is that ‘only one OCE server survived 5 years’, then that should still be grounds for an OCE server this time around.
And without looking at the numbers, I’m sure SOM and SOD experienced similar region-wide drop offs. I think what happens is that when mass exoduses happen, OCE dies first due to us having a smaller total population than US/EU, and remaining players flock to the few remaining servers regardless of sub-region.

when we got x-realm in bg anywhere, then rdf…it linked weak US realms with the big ones.
400 alliance in dying realm x, saw 10K+ of benediction in the tbcc and wrath classic glory days.
OCE got that…and didn’t get much when still region locked. It didn’t pick up 10K from benediction.
Cata got slow, yes. But our rdf and bg anywhere still see several 4K or more hits. Pagle and benediction will always be there. plus grobb alliance.
In this era they skip this bit. its all us one pvp or pve. or the hc, maybe.

I’m personally hoping for 1 of each, a PvE and a PvP Realm. However, I’d play on an OCE PvP server if that is what is available.

We had multiple huge threads begging for OCE fresh a few years ago when they launched some for wrath classic. It didn’t change anything.
You’ll be lucky to even get a blue post addressing this request.
Pack it up, it aint happening.
Edit: Not trying to be mean - I was one of the people begging last time. Just get ready for disappointment.

Tbh, low perceived likelihood of success is not a reason not to try. Many of us literally won’t play if there aren’t OCE Realms. Now, Blizzard may not care and that is what it is, but I’d like to actually play it and will try to do anything I can to get that to happen, regardless of how useless that action might be perceived to be.
Essentially - OCE Realms and I will 6 month sub without a second thought. If my only option is to play on NA Realms - I won’t, so I will unsub instead.
