This mentality is what I’m talking about. Imagine playing hopscotch and there’s some guy on the side ridiculing people for their foot not being perfectly center on the square. Just a bizarre nonsensical variable to the game.
When the entire culture turns into that, it’s a problem.
Whether the bosses go down in 30 seconds or 33 seconds doesn’t matter. The only useful skill in this game is PVP.
Lol as if those changes are problems. Chronoboon is a catastrophic slippery slope, really? The smarter change would be SoM style and just remove world buffs.
Well imagine having crippling anxiety over how bad you are at a game that you hate everyone who’s good at the game to the point where you actively fight against things that better players want in the game.
That’s exactly it. They don’t understand why people are against certain things that they like. It’s because they don’t have the capacity to understand how repulsive dealing with their version of a great community actually is.
Most people don’t want that community. And will proactively do what it takes to stifle it.
Dual spec for 1000g but only changeable at trainer would be nice. It’s functionally the same as what we all do anyway, except we wouldn’t need addon profiles to redo action bars every time. Don’t see why it would be a problem.
That would be a decent compromise. I don’t think your idea would have too many negative consequences. But it’s always best when dealing with era to just leave it alone.
I agree with you - the problem is Blizzard already opened the can of worms by implementing stuff like Chronoboon. I was a staunch no changer, but since that ship sailed, then minor QoL that makes sense and is overwhelmingly supported by the community is fine with me.
Well that’s a slippery slope that I don’t subscribe to. They should roll back chrono and the honor system. And if they don’t, there’s absolutely no reason to exacerbate the situation with more game changing implementations.
QoL is more like a color blind option. Or an onboard frame that tells you what skills you can train.
Dual spec means that you will never enter a pug where not having a cookie cutter spec is acceptable. So the entire culture of classic get shifted. Which is something a simple QoL dynamic should not do. So imo, this is more than that, even though on the surface it may seem innocuous.
If they’re going to address this in any way, I think it would be better to just lower the cost of respecs. Even have templates you can save builds and gear to. That would be fine if we must make a change.
Nice idea, good compromise. The adjusted cost is debatable.
You still need to go to a trainer and pay the fee, just dont have mess with talent points or your bars.
