20th Anniversary Costs and Rewards

This is a lie. This is the only forum I use related to wow. This is getting weird also. Why do you keep replying to me and talking as if we have some sort of posting history together? I’ve never even seen you, champ. lol must be salty about something I posted.

Anyways, stranger-that-won’t-stop-replying-to-me, I’m going to disregard anything else you reply to me with because it’s irrelevant, just as everything else you’ve tagged me in.

God forbid we could be given some cool questions to complete, with something memorable along the way. Nope have to have more stupid currency that’s gated. Fun!

What was his response that was deleted? I need to know for my own reasons.

I mean…we’ve been with WoW for 20 years and this event is to celebrate that.

The idea that we have to not only set up the decorations, blow up the balloons, wrap the presents, and then bake the cake before we are allowed to celebrate is crazy.

People will bend themselves in multiple different ways to defend terrible design and practices. Just because it doesn’t cause you personally to be affected doesn’t make it a good thing.

“You don’t need everything” is not a justification for bad design. It never has been it never will be.

I don’t even remember what all it said. I usually try and quote people really fast before I reply, and that’s why. This was one of the times I didn’t. :frowning:

Yeah, that’s an opinion. Not a good opinion but still an opinion. If grinding is bad design in an mmorpg then you’re playing the wrong genre, this whole genre is about grinding.

Nor will be forever curious.

limiting choices and making them difficult to obtain doesn’t make them meaningful.

Oh, no? Giving you everything makes it meaningful though, right? lol

Welfare epics are epic!

if you want something meaningful, you have to associate something the player cares about, usually a good experience.

a meaningful choice is why you pick a particular mount to put on your bars even though you have hundreds.

the concept of welfare epics itself is outdated and meaningless because even the most uber epics eventually become vendor trash.

That’s not meaningful because you can always go back and switch mounts as many times, as often, and whenever you want.

Those who has been with WoW for 20 years, they dont need much as they had it before. The grind wont be that much.

Those who just came right now and expect to have everything… is called ENTITLEMENT.

Blizz are generous to return some for you to access it. Instead of being grateful, you are mad becoz it;s not enough if you dont have everything. Remember, we grinded them for season long back then… and you would grind it only for few weeks. Cry more.

sure, but you still pick one mount over the others, why? that choice has meaning. just obtaining another mount for your collection that was a choice of 3 does not.

“Gimme it! GIMME IT! I want it, Its MINE!”

if you want to talk about meaningful choice, then talk about meaningful choice, but fomo and limited options in a digital game are not meaningful choice, they are psychological tricks used to get players to play more than they want to.

2 things that aren’t a thing with these sets.

so the event is easy, fast, and sticking around forever?

It’s already been stated by Blizzard that these sets will return later - no FOMO.

Everyone can obtain all of them - no limited options.

On the flip side, Blizzard is going to milk the cows on this, you already know it.
