I take it no new TWW content is coming til after xmas 2024. So this event plan is to keep people subbed for 10 weeks until they can roll out next content patch.
Two things:
- If you don’t think it is worth it, then don’t do it.
- Still not what FOMO means.
If you want to play and enjoy the stuff in the game, you play the game. So if you don’t enjoy the game, don’t play the game and especially don’t pay to not play a game you don’t want to play.
Mind you, the thing you are complaining about… that’s just a MMO thing. So… MMOs simply might just not be for you.
If being intellectually honest actually paid, we would have a whole lot fewer people being intellectually dishonest. Sadly in the real world being honest is typically the thing that pays you the least if it pays you at all, being dishonest can however be a career path - as long as you don’t care for morals or other people.
Mind you I don’t think trolling on gaming forums is a career path either for that matter, I just think you are doing it as a hobby.
DBM and WA are tools to provide information and clarity to the user. Whenever these tools have been able to influence the game by overlaying actual data for players to do, such as when DBM could use directional arrows that communicated between players, that was removed by Blizzard - because it is dreadful for the game.
These changes doesn’t affect people who use these tools as tools. Just because some people use a tool as a crutch doesn’t make the tool less of a tool, it just makes certain users into tools for misusing a tool.
Have a good day though!
It’s funny that you’re trying to run someone down when you have such a horrible grasp on the English language.
/thread tbh
Same old Blizzard tripping themselves up in the pursuit of metrics. This is supposed to be a fun holiday event and they’re turning it into an MAU farm so they can show it off to shareholder as usual. This company is incapable of doing anything right and it’s sad.
Artificially scarce events like these fully fit the definition of a FOMO event.
This boot licking is braaaaaaaazy
I can definitely vouch…I don’t even think evilira plays the game. It’s either a bot account or an actual blizzard employee that scours the forums to defend them in every instance (which is why I see this “account” on every single negative post towards blizzturd). Pretty obvious.
No evilira…you’re the one without a grasp here, as usual. Constantly doing mental gymnastics to twist the context of people’s posts/comments when it doesn’t fit your “bLiZzArD iS lIfE” narrative. Stalking people on the forums just to give a garbage take that’s opposite of their own. Get well soon dude…
Because your word means something.
The OP has a point. I have limited time to play. I want to play the game. So with the anniversary event, I can ignore TWW or grind for anniversary things.
Given a lot of the coinage seems to be geared towards dungeons, etc. I am beyond under-thrilled for the event, to be honest.
May just go back to LoTRO where they have actually fun and spooky Halloween events to pick up the latest mounts, pets and transmogs until Blizzard realizes their anniversary event seems to highlight the grind the game is becoming/already is.
I really didn’t care for profession changes in DF, the changes in TWW made it less appealing and put me firmly in the ‘this feels as horrible as Legion crafting’ which I have basically ignored.
Luckily I can still find my own fun in the game as long as I ignore Blizzard’s ‘end game’ model, which never appealed much to me.
After the 2,200+ posts that you have made on here…I think we can all attest that your words don’t mean anything. Must be all you do…like it’s your job or something
Fine, little man, here’s the attention you want from me.
I mean you are literally saying you know how Blizz makes their engagement systems and then act like they need to change it? Should they just give everyone the sets for free?
You just repeated what you claim not to have said.
GG.
Don’t mind if the cost is high, but I will say the same thing I say about every timelocked POS Blizzard throws out.
Timelocked content that isn’t directly player power related, is anti consumer. Let us grind when we have time. Let us no life content, or play it at our own pace. Stop telling us how to play the game. I get you need to stretch your engagement methods for a month, for more subs, but tying a whole armor set and celebration event to an artificial month long grind is so obviously greedy, I dunno how anyone outside the company can look at it and agree it is good content.
Look how much fun people had in remix, just grinding. That should be your goal for every event like this.
i know it tends to trigger a lot of people on the forums to bring other MMOs up, but holidays in FF14 are usually done better. at the very least they respect your time more. usually just a quick, fun/silly questline and you get the rewards at the end. many of them have small cameos with characters you know from the game that you don’t see much anymore. sometimes they have an added short dungeon/FATE/minigame that takes a few minutes, and it gives you enough currency that it only takes 1-3 of them before you have enough to buy the other holiday items. easy, done. the minigames and FATEs are usually pretty fun too, so it doesn’t feel like a chore
many of the holidays in this game are designed to just keep you logging in for as many days as you can stomach before you think, alright, that’s enough. this isn’t worth it anymore. i’m gonna do something else.
the noblegarden eggs in particular come to mind. want a teeny chance at an egg basket that sits on your dragon’s head? you get to spend potentially hours running around buildings clicking eggs. fun
Then don’t do it.
You’re the one stalking people across multiple forums, “little man”. I would hope you got a couple pennies for your 2,200+ worthless posts on here. Otherwise, that’s a lot of free work you’re doing for the multi billion dollar company. Take that backwards perspective you have and keep it to yourself next time
