You know what bothers me? That this is something that could have been addressed without killing off Vol’jin or retelling MoP.

I mean, Nightborne aren’t any more Night Elves than Blood Elves are. We all come from a common ancestor but they really don’t have much else in common, except that Blood Elves and Nightborne both joined the Horde and tried to kill the rest of us.

It’s also that the good races are so completely and utterly useless. Incompetence and random savagery do not a good story make.

Whoever’s in charge of writing the overall story should lost their jobs IMO. Or at least bumped down to the minor leagues or moved to write bad story for some other game that doesn’t matter anymore. Heroes of the Storm comes to mind.

Then take the people who are writing the stories for these individual zones like Zandalar and Kul’Tiras, let them put their heads together and come up with something that actually gives players a sense of real satisfaction instead of…you knw…making us feel rotten.

Just a thought.

The only measure that matters to Blizzard are the subs. Despite your issues, you’re still subbing. So am I.

While those zones are mostly good, let’s not forget they also gave us Brennadamn.

That was for the benefit of Alliance pride. Horde pride was sacrificed quite heavily so Alliance could have lots of cool heroic moments at their expense. Brennadam, the war campaign, Dazar’alor Raid, etc.

Except, apparently, for night elves.

I remember folks being upset that they took the cannibalism out of the trolls.

It’s my impression that the writing and creative staff underwent a lot of change during the process. So most likely the new team had little interest in picking up the story that the original team had started.

Nope, everything is crap from this side too fyi, i wont say too much but the TLDR is that every victory was phyrric, offscreen or the choices and outcomes were incredibly moronic, so yea that was a lot whole of nothing while pissing off both sides.

Cannibalism for trolls would mean eating other trolls.

These threads aren’t productive, nor is asking for any sort of retribution in the story that matches the Burning. It was never happening, it was never on the table from the start, nor should we want it to be, because it’s an inherently lazy and destructive story tool.

If we’re directing any sort of ire, it shouldn’t be that the night elves didn’t get payback, but that the writers had it happen in the first place.

Killing that 1 Val’kyr made up pretty well for the Burning and everything to be fair to the writers here.

When I heard about “rpg-elements” for the first time [covenant discussion], I thought “can I not kill val’kyr?”

Oh well, maybe we’ll eventually see their side of the story. Maybe even before all the rest are killed.

Not gonna lie, taking the portal to Darnassus and then ending up in Ashenvale? It doesn’t feel very good, Having to time travel to visit your Race’s capital? Also doesn’t feel good. Night elves have no home right now.

And they’ll never have one, also never get their lands back or get some justice.

People have given tons of feedback but blizz just hates the damn race

The Kaldorei can get their revenge against Sylvanas, after the Worgen get theirs first. They were nearly genocided twice by Sylvanas and the Forsaken.
