ok big guy
Why else would they retune a 16,000hp raid boss to have 120,000hp and increased mitigation, 2x the damage, and new mechanics if people weren’t asking for it?
We’re not talking small changes here. I’m not so narcissistic (just a little), to think it was ONLY me that caused them to make the changes. But some of the suggestions I did make were requoted a few times by others.
If people want it harder, I have no reason to believe Blizzard won’t simply give them what they want. And I don’t believe there’s enough keyboard turners and ability clickers to outnumber the rest of us that can handle and enjoy the challenge.
The difference is the goal of the project.
You’re only fooling yourself demanding changes when it suits you but parroting “no changes” when it’s somebody else’s wishes.
No.

1.The challenge does not exist for most players because all they do is show up to their chosen events. The challenge does exist for officers keeping the wheels turning.
2.Diremaul isn’t exactly a challenge.
Then go play a different game.
The numbers ie the important partts haven’t changed.
No changes. 1.12 is 1.12. Ask for Classic + to be harder.
Really tho: if you want harder go play Everquest. That’s what people said to you when you said Vanilla was too easy in 2006
I gather that you’re defining playing the game as it is as “exploiting.” That being the case, what you just said is tautological; it amounts to “only the people who don’t want changes don’t want changes, those of us who want the game made harder want the game made harder,” only with an effort to spin the former as illegitimate and the latter as the only valid perspective.
No changes.
Id like to see your actual, classic level 60 character. Not the lvl60 you have in retail with the tier transmog.
My guild is taking it easy phase 1, and won’t be ramping up until phase 2. We’re taking plenty of more casual and less informed players to try and find gems in the rough on our MC runs.
The content for us, because of these self imposed handicaps, really gives a perspective on how challenging Ragnaros can be for a group of people with a majority that has never seen/done Rag before. A lot of these guys will not make our progression roster, true, but taking the top players and trying to design raids around them only would be a mistake.
This is Molten Core, its the first raid. Its supposed to be a challenge, but its not supposed to be a massive one.
Why does it matter? This is a museum piece for the people that wanted Vanilla back. As well as a way to get sub numbers up. Nothing more nothing less. People are looking way to much into what Classic is and what it was meant to be.
No. Next question.
As the first reply suggested, do the raids with less people! More sweet loot per player that way as well
LOL that was POST vanilla. We were into the end of TBC or early Wrath by then, so chances are the old content got some more changes that aren’t present in patch 1.12. 2008 was NOT the vanilla era by any means. Yes that content still existed, but it was no longer current or relevant by then
Not really. I’m having fun as is.
I’ve never claimed to want nochange. Ever. In fact a nochanger is ticked off at my suggestions in this very thread lol.
You retailers and nochangers are on the same side. But I’ve always claimed that you all are one in the same. You want to exploit, you want it easy, you all want to keyboard turn and ability click.
Nah. We’re going to change this. Its going to happen.
That’s crazy. What I want is an authentic 1.12 experience, nothing more, nothing less, save for the graphical improvements (the lighting in vanilla is one of the things that drove me crazy) It’s what a lot of people were crying for, so what’s wrong with that?!
The #nochanges crowd and retail people are most definitely NOT on the same side. Either you are massively blind to the truth and the obvious, or you are seriously trolling at this point.
Retail folks are the people who are demanding elements from retail to be added into Classic because they like the QoL and everything else it comes with, but not the boring gameplay with WQs and rep grinds that it has. They like Classic better, but it’s just not quite good enough for them, so they want to change Classic in an effort to get Blizzard to tailor it just for THEM.
People in the #nochanges crowd like myself however, don’t want ANYTHING added OR removed from Classic in any way whatsoever. Yes we got some UI elements, graphics options, advanced mail functionality, FP cancel button and whatever else from the Legion client it runs on, but we didn’t ASK for those changes, nor did we want them to begin with, but we tolerate them because they don’t drastically affect gameplay. This does NOT mean however, that any of those things are justification or a valid excuse to add even MORE changes to the game.
Changing anything else with Classic will then make it no longer Classic but some stupid hybrid between retail and Classic and that is NOT what it was made for to begin with. Its meant to be a recreation of the vanilla version of the game, as it was in 2006…nothing more, nothing less
You definitely are. You all whine that your guilds broke up. And you troll in order to make everyone’s experience in Classic as short as possible to get them back. And the few of you that did roll on Classic whined about exploit fixes.
You’re doing it right now, veiling your intent behind “oh I want it in 1.12 only.”
I’m not buying this BS nostalgic stance you all put on. I didn’t buy it in EQ Progression either. But people like you will be back to retail in under a month. So I don’t really have to tell you to go back.
LOL what??? Idk WTF you are talking about. I never ONCE posted anything about losing people in my guild or that they “broke up”. As far as the exploit fixes, I’m IN FAVOR of them. I’m guessing you are talking about the people QQing about how the lashers and other trash in Dire Maul isn’t solo farmable upon release. I never ONCE made a comment in those threads in agreeance with the people who were whining. I even made a statement against them and explained WHY those fixes were made. Look here:
And then I stated this just a bit further down:
Not sure who your comments in this post are directed at, but they are certainly NOT applying to me in any way shape or form…Before you choose to attack someone about something, make sure you know the facts FIRST. And know your enemy. I’m not one of those people you were talking about AT ALL.
