When Dire Maul was released the whole “Best in slot” stuff was still evolving. You also are way overestimating the effect that 1.12 has on the game.
People on the forums have been flipping out for well over a decade. People have been flipping out about classic since launch. You really think people wouldn’t have flipped out even more if that had to go through all the different changes and patches the original release did??
classic wow is meant to retain subs during the last year of an expansion because thats when most people unsub…gj blizzard.
i would expect the same thing with classic tbc about a uear after the next expansion it will launch.
warrior cries in icicles
I think its fine, the difficulty will ramp up with BWL and then significantly with AQ40.
Not really, we’re being given so much time to farm BiS gear and consumables. I figure BWL will be as difficult as the first or second MC clears we had.
BWL assumed you were in MC/Ony gear in vanilla, it is a much harder raid. I mean the last boss is impossible without everyone having an ONY cloak.
BWL released less than 3 months after the world first Ragnaros kill in Vanilla. I remember the threads of people claiming MC would be harder than the private server “babies” thought it would be. People claiming it would take weeks or even months for Ragnaros to go down.
BWL is going to be easy.
I mean the last boss is impossible without everyone having an ONY cloak.
I vaguely remember being able to hide behind the throne to avoid the Shadowflame.
Can anyone C/D?
This is a really dumb question, compounded only by the fact that you chose the easiest class to play.
No. And go level a rogue or warrior and lets see you change your tune.
We got it because “it’s the only one they could find”.
Yeah, I’m thinking that’s a hard BS excuse too.
There’s always backups, and backups of backups.

Absolutely not, lol.
its really not that hard if u come from retail raiding
Most here have not experienced endgame
Absolutely not, lol.

Everyone in this thread made in 2008 claims it was common knowledge and a widely used strat during Vanilla.
I’m going to believe them over you, random level 55 Paladin.
You realise the main reason for this is that people are just doing dungeons at a much higher level than they used to. Dungeons were hard in Vanilla because people would go into them the minute they got the first quest, and slog their way through pulls with mobs 5 levels higher than them. Of course it was hard, and it was a waste of time when you could just gain a couple of levels and make it trivial.
People used to do Deadmines at 16, SFK at 18. Cathedral at 36. The end boss was 8 levels higher than them. And you could still complete dungeons this way, but it was very slow going.
People just understand the game far better now, and there’s nothing that Blizzard can do to reverse that. Classic will be very easy for the entirety of its existence because it always was.
Nonsense. Warriors are dual wield tanking IN RAIDS.
The game is too easy.
Nonsense. Warriors are dual wield tanking IN RAIDS.
As they have been doing on private servers for years.
The exploits killed the challenge, not the actual game did. Layer hopping until you get BIS drops was not a thing at true Vanilla.
I play solo on my Druid and have fun and a decent difficulty.
i wish i played class with no mana
No. I’m pretty happy with the WoW classic as it is.
