Oh you mean the talent thats in a defensive talent row against 30% less cd to shield of vengeance and divine shield so i’m not dying every go.
But at the same time I can’t move around at all because I only have a 3sec sprint that doesnt remove snare and root when used and it get nova or chains of ice instantly.

Freedom? okay give us a 30% damage reduction then? don’t get me wrong, pallys are definitely not the most mobile dudes out there. i feel for you guys.
had to ruin a good thing. well there you go boys any chance of mage being balanced is gone gg no re
wrong. proven wrong by literally the best rogue in the game how wrong this is. youre just bad.
As one hunter to another who alts a mage, if mage wasn’t over tuned, 1x shimmer is actually garbage. A Would mages still be playable? Probably if fire instant cast damage was still overtuned like BFA. Otherwise they would be like hunters now (few and far between).
Mages need either deep freeze or two charge shimmer to be competitive given current class design.
If anything, I would change ring of frost to like ring of poly and put it on the arcane school. Double blink sheep only to be kicked and then RoF immediately after is insanely toxic for fire mages.
Currently only fire is really dominant (though all specs are viable).
Serious question. Why would you shimmer a rof cast?
Deep freeze is definitely the better option.
isn’t mage getting alter time back too? unless I’m wrong and it doesnt reset cds, just hp and position, I cant remember
to avoid a melee kick without having to juke it
pretty sure there are plenty of situations where you can shimmer ring and extend a cc chain

You’re already tankier than me and you’re cloth. You have a 25sec cd 100k absorb while mine is a 2min cd, temporal shield is a 100% damage taken into healing back.
Mages have magical tears. That’s how they avoid ever receiving a nerf or even playstyle changes they don’t like.
They have been the dev’s clearly favored class for FIFTEEN years. I don’t know why anyone is surprised at this point.
feral is pretty good against mages. not a hard counter but they can win with a pillar
dont really need gap closers when they can break roots and snares and build cp from range
Okay and when have I defended temp or blazing barrier? I think you’re missing the point. I don’t care if we are squishy, we need to be mobile though to land polys / position for goes. It has been central to the classes identity since classic as a slippery glass cannon. Right now, we are a slipper cannon without the whole glass part, i feel ya.

so you’re telling me firemage isnt a glass cannon spec?
You get one good set up with combust and the game is over, starter fire spam fireball to have combust back every minute.
Shimmer just shouldnt be able to be used when casting poly and rof. It always has 2 charges so you can use it to be in line then cast poly.
all mages owe big thanks to venruki and xaryu!
Xaryu: “nobody uses Gpyro” “only bad players lose to it”.
Did anyone happen to watch the AWC? Lol.
Because he believes the best pvp is just click and delete.
With nothing better to be uber geared and pick on someone fresh.
I think he got picked on a lot as a kid maybe

Wasn’t the majority of that time frost mage was king? The kite lord.
They just want to stay fire with big nuke gpie
Comparing bfa classes to any prior iteration is so dumb.
No, not at the moment. Its extremely durable, vers stacking corruption, conflict, blazing barrier, temp. It’s not a glass cannon at all. It does a lot of damage but yeah its very tanky right now thanks to corruption.
I mean, combust really isn’t that insane tbh. Purgable, 10s, ez to lock it down if your team is good and trades cds. Wings is a much harsher cooldown than combust.
You have 3 melee with ranged kicks, multiple melee with ranged stuns, every healer except pala (not counting sac because its a major cd) has a counter play to poly. If you’d play mage you would understand but ya don’t. Landing polys even with shimmer isn’t easy. Landing them without shimmer in current game would be damn near impossible.
