Oh trust me I don’t bother people in warmode including fresh geared players or low levelers
But if you attack me then you lose your safety guard and I try to emote them /no and try to leave
But if you don’t stop then Ill attack

Luckily for everyone else random battlegrounds aren’t an esport.
Where is the claim that Blizzard is striving for perfect balance in PvP?
Legion and BFA were the most equal unrated PvP has ever been due to scaling and participation was really low.
I don’t think they are as related as people may think.
How when the lowered geared player is doing more damage towards the higher item level geared player
Good lord the Human Male Paladin is strong in this thread.
The whole point of my argument with Clark is:
He’s basically saying a gladiator you know, the ELITE who earned his gear through skill is being stomped by a fresh geared players.
And we all know, he’s just plain ignorant about what a gladiator is.
Still didn’t answer my question:

Yes… Because the scaling shamed the geared player and rewarded the fresh gear player
That was proven by the link you refuse to look
“Shamed the geared player”
That’s new. lmfao

Can someone tell me how scaling “shamed” the geared player?
Like I asked you: Is this just about the babyrage?

I mean you can go read venrukis post. Someone bumped it recently. PvP participation was low because PvP gearing was non existent. That was the first time in a while they rating locked gear. Whaddya know, people didn’t like it. It was also infinitely easier to get gear from m+. Doing a 15 is easier than getting 1800. ESPECIALLY mid or late season. And yes in rated PvP it didn’t matter a ton but if you took PvP gear into wpvp or PvE you were useless.
Legion had so many issues. The templating was probably the tiniest part of it. My entire PvP guild from wod unsubbed in legion. They got tired of doing m+ for gear and rating locked gear discourages people from playing. Legit. Anything tbc-wod. Current system is garbage.

Good Lord.
I don’t know what to say…how can a Elite Gladiator be ashamed when he would be busy stomping the noobs?
Since you won’t look at the link I’ll quote it again
The conclussion im drawing from all this is that PvP templates are not gone. Gear is “more” important now,but a fresh 120 in instanced pvp is almost like a geared 330 character.
The people who got the better gear were still handicapped but the guy who is fresh wasn’t
But that’s long gone now so the gearing in SL is better in terms of power
The fact that he can’t really answer the skill question speaks for itself tbh.
“Shamed the geared player”
He is referring to the scaling issues sockets had. There was a point players were wearing gear from previous expacs that had multiple sockets to abuse scaling and in S4 when having sockets actually had a negative impact.
I would be more of a fan of WoD style scaling, but I’m sure some people would disagree.
Yes, hard disagree. Anytime they remove the incentive to win or the requirement of rating players take the path of least resistance and start botting/ afking. Classic should be evidence enough of that.
It’s a fundamental discussion on should an MMO rpg that is built on gear progression and long term character growth as a staple (different than a FPS and MOBO) have gear be part of the equation in PvP?
Time investment, time management and character building are a form of skill. Why should they not have impact in a genre specifically designed to value character progression.
yet current ladder is dead in arena
Yeah random BGs were always a content I settle on eventually, but there is way too big of a gear gap right now. It’s as if LFR bosses suddenly became mythic difficulty but still dropped 184 gear.
Plus on Alliance it’s much harder to casually grind rating in yolos due lack of groups.
I understand what you are saying in theory, and it makes sense. But what % of the player base gets 2k let alone 1800?
yet current ladder is dead in arena
SL season 1 participation was so high they had to rework their matchmaking algorithm mid season.
And now it’s so dead that it’s one of the few seasons where r1 is going down not up.
