Ok then I apologize for taking it out of context or whatever it was.
One reason I despise PVP, the argument always devolves to the “good” players needing cannon fodder to stroke themselves over. Any attempt to counter Glads stomping on fresh max levels will be met with howls of “git gud” or “I suffered, you must”. OP said separate rated from unrated, if you as a Glad need to go into unrated and rofl stomp lowbies it speaks more to you than to those trying to enjoy a part of the game you like. Instead of letting them have a decent experience and perhaps try rated to get better gear you drive them away with scoffs of superiority.

Delt with this last week with the bg event. We get into Twin Peaks and immediately this DK starts rambling about we are gonna lose and we are terrible because he has the most HP. Was talking smack about me because he had 2k more HP than I did when I was in bear form. I checked the ilvls of most of us in the group everyone is like 150-200ilvl. This dude is 224 goes and runs right for enemy flag picks it up runs right out the front door and sees the enemy carrying their flag with the whole group of them guardian then EFC. The DK then proceeds to type out “no one going for efc” he goes all slappyarmboy necrolord skill pulls the whole enemy team onto him gets crushed calls us names then leaves. They immediately cap the flag we got almost come back and won but lost 2-3. (Gj Alliance was fun game other than that)
Point being behind my wall of text is. I got deleted by alot of super geared players. But nothing tops the TRY HARDS in unrated BGS. Like if your super decked out dont even que the crap up If your gonna be a baby because your allies aren’t up to your standards.
I still think matchmaking would fix this problem, unranked bg’s need matchmaking.
Apparently when you say “git gud” to “good players” they end up babyraging like this:
Oh no whatever shall we do our skillz aren’t good enough.

there are many solutions that would solve the current problems, matchmaking is not one except making queue times skyrocket
I think it would make the queue time increase for some people (geared players) but that’s not really the issue or topic at hand.
I still think matchmaking would fix this problem.

Then they aren’t random.
Most PvP games have a hidden MMR system in place, even for casual gameplay, even when it is less strict matchmaking. They may not be AS random but they would still be random.

Well it’s a good thing blizzard no longer have that artificial scaling on pvp anymore

That’s not how random works. Maybe random works that way in whatever other games you’re talking about but this is the WoW forum.
