I hope you don’t intend to play TBC classic, because you have to do rated for the good PvP gear there as well.
Can’t be my problem when I have a different view on why higher geared players have every right to be more powerful than a fresh 60
Your perception IS your problem. Certainly not mine and I reject you trying to put that burden on me. But nice try!
Because it invalidates the point of gearing through a content to do/enjoy said content.
All I hear is ohh players should put the same amount of time and effort as gladiators in order to not get obliterated in unraked content. Unranked content is suppose to be enjoyed by everybody. Rated and not rated players.
I think there should be across the board stat balancing in rated bgs. I don’t really care so much about the regular bgs. Imagine starting a game of Summoner’s Rift and the person you’re facing in mid lane spawns with a Rabadon’s Deathcap. The advantage of sheer power is too overwhelming.
Don’t worry, I don’t lol.
I’ve not played classic and do not intent to play TBC.
It’s why they need matchmaking. Or better matchmaking.
Put the fully geared Chads in unranked BG’s with each other and I bet you if there aren’t freshly geared players for them to destroy they would stick to ranked. 100%.
Its a problem that I understand why a better geared player has an advantage?
That’s not what he’s saying at all. He’s talking about random BGs which is essentially the LFR of PVP.
That’s a troll lol, he doesn’t read what he replies to so it’s a wasted effort trying to explain.
This was a great mentality to have back in 2005 because we were all teenagers. A large portion of the player base has grown up. We have families, jobs and other responsibilities. Someone who plays WoW 40 hours a week should have an advantage, sure. That doesn’t mean they should be invincible and 1-shot players who only play 5-10 hours a week. PvP should never be purely gear based in any game. It’s a recipe for horrible PvP (which we have).
Arguments like this are a surefire way to alienate large portions of the player base. From a purely financial standpoint, it doesn’t make much sense on Blizzard’s end.
No I understand what he’s trying to say
He wants well geared players to be handicapped because unfairness
A geared player should be powerful vs a fresh 60
Geared players should be put in matches against other geared players, probably not fresh 60’s.
So you don’t want geared players in your unrated BGs because they have better gear then?
They have the same opportunity as anyone else to play unrated BGs
the fact is that if this goes on forever casual, random bgs will die more and more because no one wants to queue anymore.
not sure how it’s fun for gladiator players to stomp low geared people anyway, it’s essentially like ganking. i had only ilvl 210 or something last time i played retail like 4 months ago and i knew when someone was fresh, i killed them in like 3 seconds, as a healer lmfao. it wasn’t fun.
also op why are you defending this if you don’t even pvp?
It’s so they can compensate for what they are lacking in real life.
If gladiator players were put into unranked matches with other gladiators, I guarantee they would quit unranked bg’s too and just stick to ranked.
It’s so they can compensate for what they are lacking in real life.
So now you’re jealous of these said geared players that can wipe you out in seconds
I’m a casual PvP’er, and all of my characters I PvP on had no issue getting to 201 ilvl.
Especially when you consider full 197 + a 235 legendary is 201…
In BfA a decked out gladiator wasn’t able to hold their ground easily to a lower geared nplayer because the scaling. That caused problems
Problems for who? Didn’t you say:
They are all decked out in gear because they earned it
It’s supposed to make you, the 197 item level lose an advantage
Seeing the 226 gladiator should inspire you to be saying, “dang I should be like them”
What happened? Those elite players suddenly became noobs with zero skill?
That’s your perception, and that’s your problem.
