197 iLevel Cap Casual PVP

The problem is that honor currency is capped at 15K. Blizzard needs to lift that restriction so you can level through BG’s and skirmishes and by the time you hit level 60, you can buy a full set of 197 honor gear. This would put you in a good shape. But now, you can at best get 158 honor gear with that 15K honor and have to grind more honor to get that 197 gear. This is wrong and needs to be corrected. The solution is not to bring everyone down to 197.

The ratio of people in BGs with full 226 gear isn’t that bad.

While I I will say the gear should be closer ilvl wise gear isn’t why people are gettin[quote=“Battlemaster-stormrage, post:755, topic:962311”]
In bfa they added ilvl to rating

To be fair, in BC and wrath they had requirements on gear.

Not always but it does happen. I have been on call this week and haven’t gotten home till 9:30pm every night this week.

It is though. You have to think that just because some people may have a hard time doesn’t mean everyone does.

I don’t play everyday and I consider myself a semi successful mythic raider.

Like raiding in general is easy for me because I have been doing it since BC so I can kill the few hours I do get to play where as someone who is still learning and working on heroic may not be as successful.

What position? I had a scholarship offer out of high school before I hurt my back.

Actually my statement should only offend people who consider themselves bad.

I remember when they used to allow that, I would always save my honor to get the whole set.

I could agree to this though 197/200 are very similar

I think the honor cost and upgrading should be addressed

I was thinking honor gear 197 base, scale 213, and conquest gear 213 base scaling to 226 would be fair if we’re not taking the pvp gear for pve argument into consideration

It wasn’t all gear though right? Like bracers boots cloaks etc were available and previous season’s gear was decent in ilvl?

Originally I was recruited as a left forward, but I had a knack for defense, so I played left fullback. First two years played in JUUCO, Central College in KS. Then my old coach got the job at UTEP, and offered me pretty much a full ride.

Still wish I could play, but my knees are shot.

I wasn’t here for WoD. I did come back until Shadowlands. I went back to school and just did not have time to play and then, well life stuff. But I do remember PvP from Wrath to MoP was fun. I only did bgs, never liked arenas, but I got my honor gear and my neck, trinks, and rings and could actually play and not get one shot in a BG. Wintergrasp was one of my favorite PvP zones. Still is, actually.

By the time you unlock the renown to get 197 upgrades you’ll also have some 197 covenant pieces of you were smart with saving anima.

My old brain may not remember correctly but I think it was

Offset pieces were unlocked first at lower ratings like 1400.

T1 weapon was 1850 shoulders were 2000 and t2 wep was 2200

I rotated my bottom two vertebra my senior year so I feel your pain. I was a goalkeeper.

You have any European teams you follow?

What if they brought back the old system.

Honor gear upgrades to 200.

Conquest is 220.

T1 weapons are 213 and t2 weapons are 226

I think most people would be fine with that and the set pieces set back to specific ratings and cloak, neck, rings, and trinks set to 0 rank.

It would be. But players have shown that if they have the option, they will afkbot or account share or just flat out throw games, see classic.

Afking games shouldn’t lead to bis gear.

And a few people who afk and take 4 months of afking to get their conquest set shouldnt be the reason why the current system makes random bgs unpleasant for those who don’t afk and don’t do rated

That’s what the report/kick player button is for. No one likes an afker or someone just dropping from the group in the middle of a BG, random or rated. That’s just rude playing.

THIS!!! SO MUCH THIS!!!

Again, see classic. If a loss rewards currency, it usually is faster to throw 5 minute games, then actually win a 30 minute games.

This is a weird take. TBC and Wrath both required ranked arena play to unlock current season sets. This is an mmorpg, solo/ queue content should exist, but to fully progress, you should have to group and win.

Next to tackle the abyss that’s lfg

But mop and wod didn’t and a lot of players were content
