Honestly I have no idea, I don’t pvp. If you can’t grind unrated past 197 then yea sure, nothing wrong with scaling everyone to that
Turning casual PvP, which used to be a thing that millions of casuals used to subscribe to do, into an ego trip for those with already the most bloated egos in the game, and a sandbox for those who get their pleasure from ganking badly geared newly leveled players has been a disaster for PvP. I’m sure it’s worked out great for those of you who are selling carries to rating for real money. But perhaps you should choose your friends better.
The game is not more successful if a large part of it is destroyed and most of the players who used to do that quit.
Ah, I see your point. “Dang, I should buy carries to get that rating because the game is fixed so there is no way I can do it on my own.”
Don’t want to play with random players mixed into a random battleground? Don’t do random battlegrounds.
It’s currently capped so you can only upgrade to the equivalent of the covenant armor.
If you take your characters through the full covenant story and upgrade, PvP gear is pointless outside of getting 2 trinkets for the vers buff.
The weapon my hunter is using is from the mission table because it was better than the PvP and covenant ones.
So then you both agree that high rated players should be banned from random battlegrounds?
You’re right, Yesuna! Everybody who wants to play the game should quit. Do you get a bonus for every player you drive from the game? You seem to work very hard at it.
No. If you want to higher gear go play the organized PVP.
Do arenas or RBGs.
I’m not sure how you got that out of my comment but if the shoe fits…
I appreciate you thinking I am able to influence players around here but I really don’t.
still laughing at the people who think 30 ilvl difference in pvp is fine but yeah keep up with the dumb arguments
A strangers words you see on the forums isn’t the main reason why people unsubscribe
Yes I’ve been saying something like this for a while now and it would make random battlegrounds significantly more fun by allowing teams to not have insane power disparities that can easily tip fights/objectives in one sides favor.
This could also easily be put into rated battlegrounds/arenas, where the Ilvl cap is the ilvl you could attain from the rank/bracket of the lower rated team average. So in a match where one team one has an average CR of 1540 while another has an average of 1610 all gear would not be allowed to be higher than 207 (which is the rank of combatant which is CR 1400-1599). This would also really help ranked games and stop teams vsing that have sometimes 10-20Ilvl differences which in a PvP setting is almost always a loss due to the insane damage/DR/health differences. Also note I am NOT talking about MMR, that’s different and doesn’t help in this case im talking about the average CR of players in their teams.
Please Blizzard add something like this for at the very least unranked PvP, but it also definitely would be welcome in ranked because damn I hate being squashed every other battle.
The irony of this. You know you’re backwards right? Random BG’s have always been for people gearing up. So what you should be saying is that random BG’s should be capped at 197 and anyone higher should go played rated.
I like being able to squash new rogues.
High level gear is the ONLY way to even the playing field against them.
Random BGs do give gear. You can get a full set of honor gear.
Then you use said honor gear to acquire conquest.
Then you use conquest to acquire conquest gear.
You then use honor to upgrade your conquest gear once you earn the rating required for specific upgrades.
Any questions?
i must agree with a capped ilvl for randoms, there’s where people start pvp, get their starting gears and have fun, now it’s just a meat grinder fest where you stomp or be stomped; even 51-59 randoms are better balanced than 60’s
make randoms the kindergarden of pvp, ranked pvp gear have losts of uses, besides killing lowies in aoes
The solution should just be two separate ques.
One for people in unrated or below gear and one for people with two or more conquest pieces.
Yes that’s rated PvP, but like how raid teams login to do a dedicated time schedule to do the raid, so does the rated BG team
That’s like saying once you get half the gear from LFR castle natharia you’re no longer allowed to queue for it and must continue gearing in normal
But that’ll be a double standard and it’d be outraged real quick
no need for separate queues, just lower the ilvl difference between honor and conquest gear, doesnt take a genius to do it
Being a casual player myself I sympathize with you. However. This seems to be a step back into the past. We just undid pvp scaling because of the complaints and now we’re to go back to it?
Better solution is lessen the ilvl gap. Raise casual ilvl to about 215ish
