18 gilded crest a week from Delves. Big pass

What u passing on lol, delves right now you can only get gilded from maps

I have completed all the T11 Delves with lives remaining and they were not free. You only get 3 lives and a very unreliable companion named Brann. I preferred to clear the majority of the T11 delves solo because the lives remaining counter does not change by bringing in more players. Most of the time, it felt like Brann was working against me because of the timing of his dispels and pulling extra mobs as well as the randomness of his positioning. He or the dinosaur usually breaks CC too! Delves introduce mechanics not present in a regular season of M+ or Raiding such as shuffled mobs, items you need to carry to protect yourself throughout the run such as a lamp or air bubble, and AOE mechanics throughout like ground sweeping Sporebits (which immediately respawn after killed) and bombadier attacks that will kill you in 1-shot. Starting at T9, one of three sets of mini bosses are introduced in a random location bringing additional mechanics and added challenge to deal with. Zekvir empowers random groups of mobs and sometimes assists them by casting frontals. In T4, only 1 group is empowered, in T11, I have seen 5 or 6 groups empowered. There’s a chance he will spawn in while you are fighting the empowered mobs. His mechanics are identical to the ones he casts in his lair which by itself are not too bad but scaled up to T11 and having to deal with the other mobs casts and heavy melee damage is real threat and you will likely die. Overall, not only is the damage ramped up, but there is randomness and way more mechanics to juggle the higher you go.

I believe the higher Delve content is mostly challenging. It is not challenging in the same way as M+ or Raiding. But Raiding is not challenging in the same way as M+ or PVP. Sure, it is solo content, and you are not having to coordinate with other skilled players to help you, but that does not mean Delves are not a worthy challenge. And they should award a worthy reward. I believe it is easier to survive as a tank in T11 Delves and harder to survive as a Healer or DPS class. The lack of a timer in Delves does not make the content trivial. From my experience, the difficulty is more than made up for in the decreased death counter, damage scaling, and randomness.

Blizzard considers T11 Delves along with Zekvir hardmode “an unfathomable challenge” so to come here and claim they are free is incredibly disingenuous. To anyone claiming they are free and easy, please show us all a screenshot of your vault filled out with 8/8 T11 Delves or at the very least show proof of the achievement.

I mean i did some T11s in like 619 gear not really that hard, well not as hard as getting them from m+

A cap might be a strong word for the amount of crests delving will net weekly. After all, it has been stated that gilded will drop from high level maps. Further more, a nice fellow in the other delve forum (you probably know the one) mentioned that it looks like maps will be more reliably acquired next season. Something found datamined seem to suggest as much at least. Didn’t really press to hard for a source, so who knows? Still, I feel I average a map per week, so there is that.

T11 should be giving gilded and mythic track gear.

War? Tf you on about?

Delves and M+ aren’t even in the same ball park.

What war are you talking about?

I did say doing this would probably lead Delves down a bad esports path and if it does they’ll ruin a fun chill piece of content sadly. Hopefully though it becomes nothing more than a few crests.

Counterpoint: why is the ability to raid log bad?

LOL Delvers get more rewards and then cry even more.

IDK, why are you being a stalker. You’ve been stalking me across toons for a few years now. The heck is wrong with you? You really, really need to stop stalking me mate. Siri, the heck is wrong with you being all stalkery?

It’s not just delvers.

It’s also raiders who would like there to be any viable alternative to M+ for gilded farming.

Kinda ironic really.

The “elite 1%” doesn’t want to be forced into doing Delves, meanwhile myself as a casual, doesn’t want to be forced to raid or M+.

I enjoy Delves though it’s starting to feel like Blizzard doesn’t know what to do with them.

Delvers are not forced into anything.

Idk how many times it needs to be said lol.

At this point: anyone who says that wow is “raid or die” either hasn’t been paying attention to the game since Legion, or is just parroting some old talking point from some irrelevant hack who doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Mythic plus has been the best answer to almost every gearing question for the past 8 years, and so good at parts of it to make the entire rest of the game irrelevant, due to how overpowered it is.

It’s been M+ or die since Legion, and Blizzard does not appear to be interested in changing that fact.

Unless they massively increase the number of crests dropping from keys and raid bosses, it looks like I’m being forced into delves. Not too excited about that.

Well
 they have. Sorta

They increased the mythic + level you get the highest crest tier at from +6 (+16 in the old scaling system) to +8 (+18 in the old system) and increased the keystone level you get myth track items from your vault to +10 (+20 in the old scaling system) compared to +8 (+18 in the old system). In which the myth track item from the vault will always at 1/6 regardless of what key level you do that is a +10 or higher, compared to the 2/4 if you did +10’s or +20’s (or higher) back in DF, depending on the season.

Hell, originally gilded crests dropped from +9’s or higher. They had to lower it down due to ‘outcry’.

WoW forums are weird. You have someone saying “Blizzard wants everyone to do Mythic + or else” and you have another person saying “Blizzard wants raiding to be the main way to get top end gear, hence these changes to how it is acquired from mythic +”

No one is being forced to do anything. You are literally choosing to do any content that you participate in.

Wow, you are actually treating the “unfathomable challenge” flavor description as some kind of objective assessment.

None of this addresses the how the loot system railroads you into M+. All that did is bring M+ up closer to the expected difficulty to rewards curve that had been previously established, and it had been well below for years.

Those people just don’t understand exactly how stingy raid gearing has been in comparison to M+, or have bought in to the M+ created toxic mindset that only max ilvl items matter.
