Just to get your tier token you half to beat players on Glad Mounts, boosters, botters, people who play wow and sell ratings as their full time job. its insane. How the RMT folks and Smurfing R1 streamers have taken over, and essentially monetized all rated pvp rewards is beyond me.
Stay with it folks, if you break 1600 and get your tier token, consider that a WIN for the season and done… Then its just fun and goofing! Farm and stock up on gold for next season. 1800 transmoggs dont even look that good anyway lol.

As someone who literally got 2.1k the first week last season, 1700 feels like that right now. Every game is multiple glad mounts and doesn’t really seem to be an “off meta” spec ever.

Ever wander why most gladiator mounts are purchased through shady activities, and not earned for the last 15+ years now?
Current wow, ever wander how the more RMT, botting and shady activities there are in the game, the harder it is to get rating and rewards from pvp?
Think more like Blizzard, PvP is a side mini game, most of their attention and resources are poured into PvE content like raids. Maybe just maybe, they want PvP to be a toxic RMT hellscape by design, to push players into the Raiding/Dungeon content…
Just maybe when you get that 1600 gear token Blizzard wants you to spend it on some nice Raid pvE gear… If that is their intention then everything makes alot more sense.

(1) Gladiator mounts are account-wide, and aren’t indicative of a person’s skill level with their present class.
(2) The SL gladiator mounts you see everyone and their mother riding were comparatively easy to get, and boosting was rampant.
(3) Start of season is always very deflated nowadays because it’s a dead game and Blizzard will later inject MMR when people raise enough fuss.

I don’t think they will. I think they lowered the rating requirements for the enchant and elite weapons in anticipation of this change of philosophy. I could be wrong though.

It all makes sense, Blizzard spends millions on the Beautiful zones, Dungeons, and raids. Why would they want players spending their time playing on 10 year old pvp maps?
Maybe the big wigs want the players to play the new PvE content over pvp. The powers that be know if they allow the “LEET” pvp community to monetize the ratings rewards it will run off the PvP player base and into Raiding Dungeons.
And that is why PvP is a little side mini game like pet battles, enjoy. HAHA, Blizz knows the R1 big wigs cant resist greed, even the lowest brackets they had to monetize, in the long run they were just pawns.

They only glad mount that make me nervous atm the the red dragon flight one. The other feel like my skill lvl.
Notice the big streamer R1 types on their streams they all look tired and exhausted lol.
Granted they are smiling ear to ear, but man do they look tired. I bet they are soo flooded w “requests” for coaching to the desired customer rating they cant keep up, gotta turn players away… Is there a cap on Gladiator Mounts the total they can get into that ratings bracket this season??? Alotta money and competing groups of people…

Although if you played I feel like you’d know that.
Funny enough I see more soul eater gladiator mounts than anything else except season four dragonflight. Tell me a lot of people came back to the game it’s really unfortunate they haven’t fixed this MMR nonsense yet. The clock is ticking before people stop renewing their subscription…
