But one of us literally does. There are tens of thousands of relevant DPS parses per week while raids are live and current. That data forms a body of knowledge that directly informs this conversation. Do you think the percentages I’ve given you down the hundredth are just pulled out from between my Troll cheeks? I told you where the data and stats come from so you can verify the veracity of my claims for yourself. I would link the pages directly if I was allowed to post links yet.
At any rate, this has turned into a back and forth of you saying that data doesn’t exist and me telling you that it does and where to get it. I’m going to go back to leveling my Hunter now.
The same I say, it is time to improve this class, that is why we must keep all the threads about an idea of a new tinker in the next expansion, hopefully some GM or mod will listen to us to give you an idea for the next tinker class in WoW.
I once hope that I get the idea about the tinker that I would like to see for the following breeds that is worthy of the maximum technology in class.
As well as a new neutral race for a nice styles as was the monk in MoP for the next expansion, and something more futuristic and technological in what we saw in Ulduar, in the Draneis and Mechagon
Engineers do not provide Tinker abilities from Warcraft 3.
Every Class in this game has abilities from Warcraft 3
Engineering is not a class
They can make Jeeves and some 5 minute cooldown bombs.
Tinkers can be their own class and engineers can continue being their own thing.
Give them guns (that channel and energy beam), a rocket jump forwards and backwards (same cd), energy shield defensive, and maybe a mechaspider cooldown and we have an agreeance lol.
All engineers should get whatever abilities you’re talking about. Then you can turn any class into a “tinker”.
We have far too many classes, they overlap a ton and many lack any kind of unique flavor. Instead of making more classes we should be pruning them and allowing the current classes to have more unique flavor again. Extra stuff like “tinkering” should be in professions and talents.
Tinker would be nice as a class but, i’m not sure how we’d treat things like say tinkers with engineering, or tinkers without engineering. Engineering itself is somewhat of a snag in the whole tinker thing, since everyone can be partially tinker. I would like the idea of being able to play as tinker from dota 2 but, i’m not sure how they could fit it in without it feeling like its just engineering upgraded.
So you want Professions to be so strong, that they are practically their own separate class. That everyone needs to take in order to be viable?
I think the best Idea is to give Engineers a MUCH bigger focus on Utilities, Guns, and Gun add-ons. (scopes, triggers, etc)
Assuming they could use Guns, (which is the popular opinion) The Tinker class would directly benefit from the Engineering profession.
But the Engineering profession on its own could sell upgrades to two classes. Tinker and Hunter.
