If they hadn’t added those classes then it would just have been the classic classes in a perpetual state of imbalance. Removing Ret Paladins and Balance Druids would have technically improved balance in Classis. Should they have done that? Then what about the specs left at the bottom after that? How big a DPS range is too big?

You can feel any way you want. If you just don’t want Tinkers added because you don’t like the concept, that’s perfectly reasonable. But don’t make a technical argument and then say you don’t want to have a discussion around the data underlying that technical argument.
I’m not going to tell you you’re wrong for not wanting Tinkers. I’m am going to tell you you’re wrong for not wanting Tinkers for a reason that is probably false.

I just can’t believe that an extra class / 3 new specs would NOT impact balancing.
It just doesn’t sound logical.
If Blizzard told me otherwise, I would expect them not to be lying, but no one else would convince me otherwise after seeing how bad Monk has been and how absurdly strong DH has been for however long now.
I think the disconnect is you are trying to take a survey of every single spec in the game, and I am not.
I do not want Tinkers as a playable class, they are lame, amidst all the other options. Dark Rangers, Necromancers, Shadow Hunters… if it were up to me, Tinkers would never come, because there are better things.
I do have some facts actually that suggest their likelihood as a class.
There are hundreds of High Res assets in game already for such a class, including but not limited to Turrets, Mechs, Rockets, Shredders. You name it.
There are abilities already in game for the Tinker NPCs that already have Cooldowns and level requirements
These NPCs are also divided into 3 specializations.
There are Already Tinker NPCs on Exiles reach, that clearly do not coincide with any existing class.
I don’t think they’re lame. It’s not a great argument. It’s entirely subjective.
Yes, I know. I’m saying they are lame in case Blizzard watches these types of threads for opinions. I want to make sure I’m doing my part to prevent Tinkers from ever being added.
