$16 an hour, starting, to be a test analyst for WoW

Not bad for a student working part time. Or recent HS grad.

I’m sure they’ll find some smart but totally naive graduate to fill it as a passion position until they wise up and get tired of eating ramen noodles everyday.

Which describes a lot of the people working in that industry tbh.

You might have to, because for $16 an hour to live in Irvine you can either sleep in a tent and eat roaches, or mug yuppies.

Oscar Meyer hot dogs and spaghetti noodles is all you need

And splitting rent 5 ways on a two bedroom apartment.

Inflation is a fun buzz word to use, but the reason $16 doesn’t work for people isn’t because of inflation. It’s because you all have credit card debt, student loans, and car payments.

$16 ain’t a glamorous life, but it works when you don’t saddle yourself with massive quantities of debt.

In California maybe. My apartment is $1160-$1200 depending water usage for a 1 bedroom

College kids sign up for credit cards, max it out, gotta have the lastest iPhone and Tesla, then blame the government for their mistakes.

Isn’t this position in California? That’s been the context of most of my comments.

College kids sign up for lifelong debt within the first months of being old enough to legally do so because the adults around them tell them it’s the thing they are supposed to do and they’ve literally been taught to listen to the adults around them their entire life.

No, you twisted those words. They teach you that you need to get a credit card to build up your credit. They didn’t tell you that you have to spend the $2,000 max limit ASAP. That’s where they messed up.

I just remembered I was arguing with someone from Florida.

Dang, I wouldn’t have guessed that. Well, welcome back Clark! Guess you found a new Shtick. (I know, Zuma has been posting for awhile…but I didn’t know their secret identity)

Most jobs of this nature are. Probably the reason for the pay rate

Are you sure? Clark was a lot more entertaining.

Even that sounds insane. My mortgage payments aren’t even that high $780 a month. You guys also pay for water?

16/hr is lunacy in 2024 for a job of this caliber
