All I’ve done is pug and I’ve got all 10s done and half my keys at 11.
Problem when pugging is that people aren’t nearly picky enough, so you get the crap players that slip through the cracks.
If I see a leader invite someone that hasn’t got atleast the same timed key within a level of what we’re attempting, I leave. Could he be good? Maybe. Does he know which mechanics now mean death? Probably not. I’d rather save the 30 odd minutes and find a different group.
So you have timed a single 8, but still only a 6 stonevault. Ive attempted multiple SV and if its not the machinist boss its trash.
Now if you time a 9 or 10 fortified SV feel free to tell us that its not that bad if you take your time. My “time taking” runs resulted in timer running out before pulling trash to last boss.
Is it possible? Probably yes with a boomkin to beam caster adds. But aside from that, way too many punishing casts and unavoidable aoe damage.
Boomkin Main here! I hate the need to spec into shortened kick for this boss in my m+ group.
Imo she shouldn’t cast at all when she’s on the jump
who cares about the cast? You easily heal through it. It’s rather irrelevant.

There are multiple solutions to a problem? The cast doesn’t hurt hard enough to really care.
The cast slows, does unnecessary damage. Dps who only zug zug through bosses can do the one thing in this fight which can wipe the group.

In the keys I’ve done, Challenger’s Peril has removed about as much time from the timer as an actual affix would. I’m timing 8s with 15ish deaths.
I was actually interested in what you have to say. Wether it supports my thoughts or not.
Mainly have issue with the people loudest saying its okay as is are nearly exclusively posting from alts. Likewise people who dont seem to have significant success are saying its fine and giving advice - which is just noise(which is why I pointed that out).
Im currently mixed opinion but my experience pugging has been pretty bad. And its not an L2P issue, its people will die to 1 mechanic and leave. Last night I ended up bringing randoms to a key that were trying to work on KSM, who had no intent of timing - just because I knew nobody would leave. And thats from days of just trying to complete a key. In the hour or two I have after work.
would be cool if there was something to add seconds to our timer, like doing a special activity during the run, or killing boss on on their “hard mode” or something like that. it would also give players a way to make a “comeback” if the run started off bad or mistakes were made.
also, i don’t think rewards are good enough in M+. At least add some more gold or augment runes in there. If the box is a bit better at the end, I think it would encourage more positive gameplay, and cut down a bit on toxic interactions like key leavers, or mad bois, etc.
Pugging above 7s is done. Great job guys. Just had 2 pug 7s disband. Glad I got a group to run with because holy badword pugging is over.
Would be decent of them to up the rewards from the same amount we got from end of legion dungeons.
It’s always irked me that we call it looting, we put all this effort into succeeding and we get less gold than it takes to repair a single piece of equipment.
Just said me going from usual pulls to “taking my time” and pulling smaller, lead me to success in 10s and 11s, and its usually more of a dps check for mobs to die. too much risk in pulling big in pugs. but at the same time, i realize my “small pulls” are probably still big pulls to average player so i deleted what i said lol. i only pull 2 packs at most though, in 10+. which could be too much for a lot of tanks still because of foritfied.
i went from bricking 10 keys to timing them easily now because of route and pull adjustments. every brick is a learning experience. just have to learn how to set up pulls to make it easier for dps/healers. im able to clear 10s with near no deaths pretty easily now but it started off with 10+ deaths/run because my pulls/positioning werent that clean.
Easy solution: remove the affix, lower timers by another minute or so.

OG Bolstering in The MOTHERLODE!! was broken in pugs. Sanguine was OP in Tol Dagor and Waycrest Manor.
