Less excuses.
More renown.
It takes little time to get it done.

yeahâŠyou DO
YOU have been flying around since day ONE, then have the abject audacity to even open your mouth at other players who ARENT able to use DRing for one personal reason or another and PRETEND that its ok to have PF for normal flight while YOU got to enjoy flight the first hour of release
Imma block you know before you irritate me any further
HEY IONâŠwhat you SHOULD do is TAKE Dragonriding back from us and make ALL of us do PF before getting it back.
make it something good. something thatâll take a couple more months.
It doesnât bother me because I have no intention to use regular flying ever again. IT feels super slow on the dragon isles.
However, thereâs not much to argue in favor of pathfinder even existing at this point. We can already use a faster form of flying on the isle why lock the slow dull one behind anything? I do think most people will, unlike me, have their renown where it needs t be, but even then why bother? It feels like clinging to pathfinder for the sake of it rather than just letting people do their thing.
And you dont get the problem in that? lol.
PF was SOLD as a way to get us to see the damned expansion from the ground.
That is what Ion and crew told us it was about.
Guess what? We all had flight day one. So noâŠthis pathfinder clearly ISNT about making sure we see the content from the ground first.
Obviously any attempt to make that claim this time around is a bold faced lie.
SoâŠwhat is it for this time and who is affected most?
It aint so we see the content, feel the âdangerâ, thats for certain. Dragonriding came about an hour into the expanion. So whats it for?
Petulant spite is the only thing I can reasonably come up with given #2 below.
who is affected most of LEGIT players? Those who are having trouble with DRing and have been begging for normal flight. lmao. This PF literally targets players who are having trouble with DRing.
As i saidâŠonly thing that fits this time around is petulant spite.
As I mentioned earlier, it wouldnât surprise me if Blizzard is expecting a massive wave of troll posting from people complaining about old-school flying being too slow, and how it needs a boost, but they also know that those same sorts of low-grade trolls donât actually play the game at all, so theyâll be easily countered with âbut you donât even have pathfinder to use old-school flyingâ with this requirement.
The âold school flying sucks and needs to be fixed, even though Iâve been screaming I must have it for a yearâ threads are going to happen anyway, but the pathfinder requirement might cut down on their usage by folks who donât even play the game.
But thatâs just speculation on my part.
This is blizzard way of punishing disabled players that have been asking since Dragon Island went live to have normal flyingâŠeveryone gets Dragon flight free and easy but if you want normal flying youâll have to wait over a year then make sure you got 6 different Reps too lvl 15 including a brand new one that we havenât been able to work on yet before new patch comes outâŠso getting normal flying is delayed again till you get new rep too lvl 15âŠbasically telling players that have issues with dragon flying we donât care about you and your problems.
its legit 2 weeks with the renow buff.
And no new player cares about old slower mounts.
Itâs just stupid and frankly odd that they are requiring a pathfinder for this.
Dragon riding was available almost immediately and aside from a fairly small group of players the bulk of the player base will still use dragon riding most if not all the time.
Traditional flying will be mostly situational and frankly if a few players want to putter around on those mounts who cares.
Thank you Baldwin for your honest feelings on thisâŠjust how I feel tooâŠDragon flying was handed out day 1 for no cost of goldâŠrep or do so many questsâŠjust go find some rings in the airâŠ
If you have to do existing content over and over again, they donât have to create new content.
i agree add pathfinding for draenei being able to use ground mounts.
Isnât there a trick where you can get the infinite augment rune on day 1?
From what Iâve seen the biggest thing people want slow flying for is that they want to see the mounts that they like flying, but new players donât have any cool mounts so it doesnât really matter if they get slow flying
Not entirely true. It affects me because I like using standard flight and my preference when I am able to use it in the Dragon Isles will be to continue using it. There may be times when I need to get somewhere fast (which doesnât happen all that often) and then Iâll use gimmick flight.
I can use it, even though my fingers, hands and wrist donât much appreciate it if I use it too much. Its a personal preference to not use it. And to be able to use one of the many beautiful (non DF drake) flying mounts that I have in my collection.
Edited: I may have been looking at the wrong RuneâŠ
For DF specifically, A lot of players will just instinctively hate anything new because itâs new and therefore scary. We saw this both with dragonriding, and with how the world events worked out (Take the gameplay from world quests, but change the map icon and call it a grand hunt, and people say they hate it and want more world quests).
The argument for pathfinder in this expansion is to try and get those people to get over their instinctual hatred of the new systems, and maybe give it a chance and see if you like it. How well that worked is not clear, but itâs a possible reason to lock out slow flying in DF.
Meh. I get that this disproportionately would affect people with disabilities or injuries, but you at least have an alternative, as painful as it may be to use.
If you really are returning after bailing in 10.0, perhaps blizz could implement some sort of rep catchup buff if an account has been detected to have been offline for X many months?
For me, I just want old air swimming so I can actually use the non-DR flying mounts I got from the current expansion! The biggest troll move blizz ever pulled on its players is to release these non-DR flying mounts that canât fly in their own expansion. What freaking joke that is.
Yeah, itâs renown 18, exalted isnât a thing for this faction.
Following this trick, you end up at renown 16-almost 18 (depending on if you do it during anniversary/DMF or not) higher if you spend more time grinding superblooms first week.
Like the 50% rep buff we had back in June?
Like that?
We already had it.
