They want you to do both content that’s why if you do only one it will feel worse.
Adding more myth loot would simply make gearing way faster when there’s much value to make gearing last longer so people play longer and so you can progress through the patch with more power.
The vault is still more than half the mythic loot you can get as clearing the raid can get around 1.6 loot per person for a full clear and you aren’t gonna full clear each week and you’ll most likely extend at some point. Add to that crafted gear can solve most of the rng problems with a 3 ilvl difference.
Imo, they should probably split in some way M+ from raids probably by scaling people down to max hero track gear in M+. And then instead of having m+ be used as catchup simply buff loot from raids from the start by 10% and another 50% when .5 happen.
If we’re really serious about trying to make M+ like raiding then sure add a weekly lockout on loot with rng drop so it’s around 1.6 loot weekly and make it group loot so you can’t stack people for drops, make it so you need to do a 10-12-14 key to cap your vault, and make the vault drop the same ilvl as what the key drop same as for crests and make it so you need to do 14s to cap your crests after 3/4 done. Oh and cherry on top make it so if you deplete a key you don’t get anything. You’ll probably find that M+ has a lot of good things going on already.

Crests at a reasonable rate I’d have to disagree in the strongest possible terms. You have to time 61 +8s or higher to cap your gilded crests currently after you farm 400-500 runed crests first. For alts, it’s completely unacceptable. The loot is sparce, the depletes are plentiful. Raiding if you wipe you just go again right away, even the worst of the worst before Queen in heroic pugs it’s 2-3 pulls until its dead most of the time. M+ is nowhere near rewarding enough and that’s rapidly becoming a majority opinion within the community.
You could halve that by making content just drop every prior crest type as well, which is a change that should absolutely happen for alts.
Also if m+ doesn’t give crests at a reasonable rate then mythic raids must be absolutely pathetic in comparison. You can’t even cap for a week without being 6/8 mythic.
Even with heroic last 2 bosses killed you would be missing 10 gilded from 6/8M for your weekly cap.
No the last 2 are 15 each, not 10.

Each dungeon drops myth track loot once per week. (8 bosses 8 dungeons)
Drop chance is 1/5, untradeable to offset personal loot and avoid stacking groups.
Loot comes from first 2 dungeons timed on 12 a week, then next 2 on 13, next 2 on 14, next 2 on 15. Must all be separate dungeons.

I think you didn’t understand that unless they’re willing to make it much worse in term of quantity of rewards and QoL I don’t think it needs more rewards. M+ is in many ways already over-incentivized compared to raiding, it doesn’t need more.
No I absolutely do, I was simply providing a blueprint for raid parity that’s actually within the bounds of reason. As opposed to whatever was suggested in the OP.
