1.12 AV is a huge, huge mistake

The game is going NOWHERE. It gets 2.5 years of updates then it ends. Why should we get the version of AV that makes it end quicker thus we get exalted quicker and run out of goals faster in a game not getting updates after 2.5 years?

Correct, as unfortunately we have to include modern retailers getting a vote.

Fact of the matter is that early AV is what the original vision of AV embodied. THAT is why it should be what represents AV as a museum piece, rather than the gutted race it was stripped down to. No doubt many prefered the later version, not because it was more enjoyable, but because it was faster and they could get it over with more quickly.

Early AV is the most complete AV.

Except blizzard has made it quite clear we’re getting 1.12 everything because that is in fact the most complete version of vanilla WoW.

But wasn’t nax out in 1.12 and bgs, blizzard said they were removing them and items in order to rerelease them.

Well now that we know of the Horde’s 4 minutes strat, why wouldn’t the Alliance post a half the people to guard main base area more often instead of zerging.
In all the times I played AV in Vanilla I was always on defense on my ret paladin, killing so many horde at the choke points on the bridge or at that grave yard infront of the bridge.
Clearly this is how most people will be playing AV unless they just want to lose or win very fast, and not have huge battles of both sides turtling until they get more on either end to push forward.

i dint see a problem with 1.12 AV
simply because Classic is not going to 1.0 classic it will be classic as it was at 1.12

if you dont want classic as it was at 1.12 then play BFA
because you really cant expect Bliz to make 1.12 classic but leave AV as it was many patches prior

You don’t see a problem from the perspective of thats how it was in 1.12. I see the problem being its not as fun and there is content no longer available in the 1.12 version that we will never get to experience again. Also why cant we expect blizzard to give us an earlier av? Whats stopping them other than the will to do it? And why cant we ask for it if we want it?

/shrug we had an opportunity very early on to be able to pick and choose what we wanted in classic. People chose to rant about #nochange instead of actually having a discussion, 1.12 AV is one of those consequences.

/shrug I would be totally willing to have that discussion about possible changes to classic. As soon as people wanting earlier versions of AV want to great, they can bring that up with blizzard.

/shrug I’ve said exactly what I mean, I think 1.12 AV is better than 1.5 AV and I completely agree with blizzard on both their reasons for changing it in vanilla and their reasons for using it now.

Now I would be willing to settle for an earlier version of AV in exchange for other changes I personally would like, but until the people who want early AV are willing to have that discussion too bad, #nochange

/shrug I’m not the one asking for changes at this point. I’ve made my peace with 1.12 as is, seems like some people can’t do the same.

Perpetually trolls requests for early vanilla AV because he is totally “at peace” with 1.12. Openly admits he is just trolling it because he did not get his desired changes from outside the vanilla timeframe.
