Both SV and BM have full mobility, or even unholy
MM is a pet spec who have better mobility compared to other classes with pet.

This looks absolutely terrible, it’s making the hunter class completely unplayable.
BM and SV are so janky and not fun to play, so that only leaves MM which feels so good and snappy and perfect, with the pet.
I have NEVER used lone wolf because why would I want to be a hunter without a pet? At this rate they should give warriors a 4th spec like ranger or something, and/or give rogues a 4th spec like sniper. No pet for them, but still ranged.
Hunters are DEFINED by having pets.
And the bird sounds even worse than no pet at all! It’s just taunting you like “haha you’re stuck with this ugly bird since youre not a real hunter with a real pet”
It would be nice if they would bring back some more unique features that were lost over the years with different rare pets.
I was so excited to make a MM dark ranger with a collection of spooky pets.
It just sucks that they would ruin one of the best feeling specs in the entire game for the sake of some “fantasy” that nobody even asked for! I mean, people only use lone wolf because its higher dps. Everyone i know who tskes it for the higher dps is sad that they are missing out on having a pet.
I hope blizz comes to their senses and decides to trash this concept…

Sorry for my lack of clarity the main thing i never liked of mm was aimed shot… the added aspects alter on helped it… yet the old survival spec felt more fluid and honeatly was the most fun spec for me to play… the game has changed so much that mostly all classes just hit ot pew pew so if i compare it tk before i basically send pet have him agro and dont bother with traps and just aoe now , in dungeons its gotten boring … in vanilla ee would be the best pullers but warriora complained so they gave everyone that option… he had decent tanking pets… but again people complained … now we just want to keep our pets we tamed and worked on fof years and honeatly they can do that … they made sv melee and removing a fun aspect on mm … seriously juat start a new ranger class and give us back our hunter specs… it like there are tons of melee and ranged classes give people another ranged that uses guns bows etc doewnt only have to be hunters and thrn go and keep messing with the fin playstyle
While I’m aware this post was 10 days ago as of my reply, I’ve been watching the hunter changes coming in 11.1. I agree with the MM eagle being forced on hunters and it being the same for everyone, and at the same time it’s a scouting ‘pet’ per say. It would be nice to see hunters could use any winged pet as their scout, including a bumble bee.
This makes so much sense to me. I’ve only played around with hunter during content draughts, something to level and check out a new class. I never did understand why MM hunters had their pet out when they ‘should’ talent into lone wolf for extra damage output in game play. When you mentioned companions over basically two decades as MM hunter, I can see why hunters are upset with this change. Thank you for putting light on this Danieltoon.

No it’s not.
The people that use a pet are a minority.
No they aren’t. BM and SV are as their abilities interact with their pets. MM has zero interaction with their pets outside of pulling one out for utility.
They are making the spec better.
Also gonna call BS.

Lots of folk play, and asked to make more viable, petless MM. What we didn’t expect was for petless MM to become the only option.

Petless has been the overall vision of the spec since Legion. Im not specially for removing pets but its between fixing core issues and removing pets or not fixing core issues im going to support removing the pet

For my own pvp purposes, the proposed changes are an all around win, except I might not have a pet that’s able to do any spinning of a flag while I’m crowd controlled. Very excited to play 11.1 MM.
